Niðavellir was once ruled over by Jötunheimr, kingdom of the jötnar. The people of Niðavellir developed seiðjárn as a way to fight against the superior strength of Jötunheimr.		Reginn

It’s sad, but if not for the need to stand against Jötunheimr, I doubt seiðjárn would have ever developed.		Reginn
