Strategy / General Tips

The map has two nicely laid traps.

• Trap 1: Roderick has Drag Back. Thus a unit tanking Roderick will be subject to Katarina's magic attack, which is most likely a double. A green melee unit tanks hits well from Roderick but is unlikely to survive Katarina. Rodericks's Firesweep Lance also means any unit tanking him cannot deal damage in return.
• Trap 2: Luke has Panic Ploy to negate team support for most player units tanking him. However, without team support, the full effect of Seal Defense 3 from the Bow Fighter will be felt heavily especially since, when Panic Ploy is active, Luke's Fire Boost would also be active.

To bust the first trap, a blue Brave Lance user with Lancebreaker to OHKO Roderick is probably the simplest. Cordelia with skill inheritance is particularly well poised to OHKO Roderick without doubling. A blue unit is also usually able to tank two hits from Katarina. In order to initiate an attack on Roderick, movement assist (e.g. Reposition, Dance) is required. Without movement assist, the player may be required to spring the second trap and survive. Taking hits from both Luke and Bow Fighter most certainly requires either of the following two options.

• A) A high defense lance unit and possibly equipped with Sapphire Lance or Triangle Adept.
• B) A unit with higher HP than Luke and the team support (e.g. Spur Def, Fortify Def) to negate most or all effect of Seal Defense 3. Arden in particular fits this role and is a free unit.

For Chain Challenge, a roster able to bust these two traps should have no problems clearing the subsequent two maps.
