Foe cannot counterattack. Accelerates Special trigger (cooldown count-1; max cooldown count value cannot be reduced below 1). At start of turn, grants the【Bonus】effects active on the foe with the most【Bonus】effects active (excluding stat bonuses) to unit and allies within 2 spaces for 1 turn, and neutralizes【Bonus】effects active on that foe (excluding bonuses granted at the start of the same turn). Inflicts Atk/Spd/Def/Res-4 on foes within 3 columns or 3 rows centered on unit during combat. At start of combat, if unit's HP ≥ 25%, grants Atk/Spd+6 to unit during combat, and deals damage = number of【Bonus】effects active on unit, excluding stat bonuses, × 5 (max 20; excluding area-of-effect Specials). | Foe cannot counterattack. Notes[]
- Has the same effect as Dazzling Staff 3.
- Thief can prevent the foe from counterattacking.
- A foe with effects such as Null C-Disrupt 4 or Fell Spirit will be able to counterattack.
- A foe with Mystic Boost 4 will only be able to counterattack against Staff units.
- A foe with Ice-Bound Brand, Ice-Crystal Spear, Nifl's Bite, or Holy Yule Blade will only be able to counterattack against ranged units.
- Thief grants all 【Bonus】 effects on the foe with the most 【Bonus】 effects (excluding Bonuses) to the user and allies within 2 spaces.
- Bonuses reversed by Panic will not be granted to the user and allies within 2 spaces.
- All 【Bonus】 effects granted this way can be removed by sources of positive status effect neutralization.
- Thief can remove all 【Bonus】 effects.
- If multiple foes have the same number of 【Bonus】 effects (excluding Bonuses), Thief will copy and remove the 【Bonus】 effects from all of those foes.
- The stat decrease that can be applied by Thief is considered a temporary debuff.
- The temporary debuffs of Thief will not apply if an ally enters combat and the user is inflicted with Time's Grip, the ally is inflicted with Feud, or the ally is in combat against a foe with skills such as Impenetrable Void and C Feud 3.
- The stat increase that can be applied by Thief is considered a temporary buff.
- The damage boosting effect of Thief ignores the foe's Def or Res when calculating the damage boost, and can be reduced by damage-reduction effects such as Gust, Atk/Spd Excel, and Dodge.
- A foe equipped with Embla's Ward, Múspellflame, Niðavellir Axiom, Gold Perfection, or Nine-Realm Pact will neutralize all sources of damage except from Røkkr area-of-effect Specials and the minimum 1 damage from Umbra Burst weapons.

- The damage boost of Thief will activate if the user receives a 【Bonus】 (excluding Bonuses).
- The damage boost will not be negated if the unit receives a 【Penalty】.
- If the unit does not receive a 【Bonus】 (excluding Bonuses), or has their 【Bonus】 removed by a source of positive status effect neutralization, the damage boost will be negated.
