Tap Battle: Illusory Dungeon is an action game where the screen is tapped to defeat enemies, with the required taps tuned to the background music playing. There are two difficulty settings, Normal and Hard, which change the amount and speed of enemies on each stage.
Each stage contains five floors, but not all stages are immediately available. The event begins with eight stages and every day, four additional stages are unlocked for a total of twenty.
At the end of the 20th, 40th, 60th, 80th and 100th floor, players will face a boss. Boss battles randomly choose from pre-set patterns. After every boss battle, a player will gain an extra heart.
Scoring[ | ]
If the tapping is timed perfectly, enemies will be hit with a critical attack and fly off-screen. Combos can be racked up by landing multiple critical attacks in a row. Achieving an S rank requires a perfect run. Players will receive an in-game notification, after achieving S rank in all twenty stages on a certain difficulty/mode.
Enemy movement speeds[ | ]
The table below describes the movement speed of enemy units relative to the Sword Fighter. In addition to this, each stage can individually set a scale for movement speed. Regardless of movement speed, units will still be synchronized with the music.
