Support levels[]

Does anyone have cite-able data already, how many battles you have to fight or enemies to defeat to increase the rank? --79.222.253.136 21:11, 8 September 2017 (UTC)

No, there appears to be a hidden points system similar to HM, or Experience, where the unit gains points for being part of battle. It appears that killing blows grant more points than non-lethal damage. It is possible that there is a hard cap on amount of "support points" a unit can gain per map, and perhaps that things like activating a special in battle provides a multiplier, like it does for Experience gain. Some data[]

Corrin (F) (Nohrian Summer) (SC), used in stratum maps to check what's required for summoner support level to increase:

9th Stratum

  1. SC kills 4
  2. SC kills 4
  3. SC kills 4
  4. SC kills 4
  5. SC kills 5
  6. SC kills 4
  7. SC kills 4
  8. SC kills 4 [c->b]

Conclusion: 8 maps can be enough to increase support level from C to B.

9th Stratum

  1. SC kills 1
  2. SC kills 1
  3. SC kills 1
  4. SC kills 1
  5. SC kills 1
  6. SC kills 1
  7. SC kills 2
  8. SC kills 0, never battles
  9. SC kills 1 [c->b]

Conclusion: The unit has to take part in battle in these 8 maps for them to contribute, number of kills does not matter

9th Stratum

  1. SC 1 battle, 0 kills
  2. SC 1 battle, 0 kills
  3. SC 1 battle, 0 kills
  4. SC 1 kill
  5. SC 1 kill
  6. SC 1 battle, 0 kills
  7. SC 1 battle, 0 kills
  8. SC 1 battle, 0 kills [c->b]

Conclusion: Kills are not necessary at all, only battling.

10th Stratum

  1. SC 2 battles, 1 of which led to a kill
  2. SC 1 battle (0 dmg dealt), 0 kills
  3. SC 3 battles, 2 of which led to kills
  4. SC 1 battle, 0 kills
  5. SC 1 battle, 0 kills
  6. SC 1 battle, 0 kills
  7. SC 1 battle, 0 kills
  8. SC 1 battle, 0 kills [c->b]

Conclusion: Level 40 foes do not contribute more than level 38-39 foes, dealing damage in battles is not required.

10th Stratum

  1. SC never performs an attack, but gets attacked into by 2 units, and gets killed
  2. SC never performs an attack, but gets attacked into by 1 unit, and survives
  3. SC kills 1
  4. SC kills 1
  5. SC kills 1
  6. SC kills 2
  7. SC kills 1
  8. SC kills 1 [c->b]

Conclusion: Performing attacks, or even surviving encounters, is not necessary to increase support level.

Article updated to reflect these results, remains to count number of maps (in which the unit takes part in battle with at least one level 35 or higher foe) to reach support levels A and S. Saschb (talk) 19:52, 17 October 2017 (UTC)

Using level 40 Ike to solo Part 5: Warriors on hard (level 35 enemies), Ike wins on turn 7, after killing 23 foes. It took 8 runs to reach B-support, an additional 24 runs (total 32) to reach A support, and an additional 48 runs (total 80) to reach S support. Saschb (talk) 21:24, 17 October 2017 (UTC)
