Description [Collapse] |
Accelerates Special trigger (cooldown count-1). If a skill compares unit's Spd to a foe's or ally's Spd, treats unit's Spd as if granted +7. At start of player phase or enemy phase, if unit is within 2 spaces of an ally, grants Atk/Spd+6,【Dodge】, and "neutralizes penalties on unit during combat" to unit and allies within 2 spaces of unit for 1 turn. If unit is within 3 spaces of an ally, grants bonus to unit's Atk/Spd/Def/Res based on the number of times unit has been enhanced using Dragonflowers (one or more times grants +14, zero times grants +10), grants Special cooldown count-2 to unit before foe's first attack, and reduces damage from foe's first attack by 25% of unit's Spd during combat ("first attack" normally means only the first strike; for effects that grant "unit attacks twice," it means the first and second strikes), and unit's next attack deals damage = total damage reduced from foe's first attack (by any source, including other skills). Resets at end of combat. If unit is within 3 spaces of an ally, restores 7 HP to unit after combat. |

Notes[ | ]
- Effects that select units based on stats, such as
Chill Def/Res 3, directly select the unit with the appropriate stat(s); they do not compare the team's units pairwise to decide which unit has the highest or lowest stat(s).
- Effects that check if a unit could make follow-up by decreasing the Spd difference, such as
Potent 4, are not affected by 【Phantom】 Spd effects.
- Effects that alter the Spd difference, such as
Frozen, are not affected by 【Phantom】 Spd effects.
- Swirling Scimitar stacks with other 【Phantom】 Spd effects.
- For example, if both
Buffer 4 and
Phantom Spd 3's effects trigger the unit with both skills will have their Spd treated as if granted +17.
- For example, if both
- Effects that check if a unit could make follow-up by decreasing the Spd difference, such as
- The stat increase that can be applied by Swirling Scimitar is considered a
Bonus.
- Swirling Scimitar applies the
Dodge status effect.
- Any 【Bonus】 on a unit lasts until the start of that unit's next phase. If
Dodge is acquired during the enemy phase, it will disappear when the next player phase begins.
- The damage-reduction effect is calculated after offensive Specials and damage boosting effects such as
Arcane Lúin and
Dominance.
- If a skill such as
Miracle or
Everliving Domain can trigger, the damage-reduction effect will not trigger and the user will still survive with only 1 HP.
- "Reduces damage by X%" effects stack multiplicatively, unlike interactions related to the weapon-triangle, such as
Triangle Adept and the weapon-triangle advantage boost.
- Non-Special "reduces damage by X%" effects can be neutralized or reduced by effects such as
Share Spoils or
Halves non-Special damage reduction.
- For more information, see Damage calculation.

- Any 【Bonus】 on a unit lasts until the start of that unit's next phase. If
Neutralize Penalties can neutralize
Penalties.
Penalties are neutralized by granting temporary buffs of the same amount during combat.
- Temporary buffs from
Neutralize Penalties do not stack with temporary buffs from effects such as
Grand Strategy and
Atk/Spd Unity, only temporary buffs from
Neutralize Penalties will apply.
- The stat increase that can be applied by Swirling Scimitar is considered a temporary buff.
- Swirling Scimitar's Special cooldown count reduction that occurs during combat is a flat -2 and is not affected by effects related to Special cooldown charge such as
Guard,
Special Cooldown Charge +1, and
Spd/Def Tempo 4.
- All flat cooldown count increases and/or reductions during combat will stack with each other if they trigger at the same time.
- For example, if a unit has
Preempt Pulse and
Hush Spectrum, the effects will stack and the unit's cooldown count will neither increase nor decrease.
- For example, if a unit has
- All flat cooldown count increases and/or reductions during combat will stack with each other if they trigger at the same time.

- Special "reduces damage by X%" effects cannot be neutralized or reduced by effects such as
Share Spoils or
Halves non-Special damage reduction.
- For more information, see Damage calculation.
- If a skill such as
- The damage boosting effect of Swirling Scimitar ignores the foe's Def or Res when calculating the damage boost, and can be reduced by damage-reduction effects such as
Gust,
Atk/Spd Excel, and
Dodge.
- A foe equipped with
Embla's Ward,
Múspellflame,
Niðavellir Axiom,
Gold Perfection, or
Nine-Realm Pact will neutralize all sources of damage except from Røkkr area-of-effect Specials and the minimum 1 damage from Umbra Burst weapons.
- For more information, see Damage calculation.
- Swirling Scimitar's damage boosting effect calculates the damage boost based on the total damage-reduction from all damage-reduction effects active on the unit including:
- Damage-reduction from ally skills such as
Domain of Ice and
Caduceus Staff.
- Damage-reduction from Divine Vein and terrain effects.
- Flat damage-reduction from effects such as
Atk/Spd Excel and
Shield Fighter.
- "Unit survives with 1 HP" effects such as
Miracle and
Everliving Domain.
- Damage-reduction from ally skills such as
- "Unit survives with 1 HP" effects will affect the calculation of the damage boosting effect = the total damage from the foe's damage (including calculations with specials) -1.
- For example, if a foe triggering
Glimmer deals 45 damage, and a skill such as
Miracle or
Everliving Domain would be triggered by that foe's attack, the damage boost for the unit's next attack would be 44 damage.
- For example, if a foe triggering
- If Swirling Scimitar triggers multiple times during combat, all reduced damage is accumulated up to the unit's next attack, and resets to 0 at the end of combat. If the unit cannot counterattack the damage boosting effect will not trigger.
- A foe equipped with
- The healing effect is triggered regardless of whether Swirling Scimitar's user performs an attack during combat. If foe initiates combat and user cannot counterattack, Swirling Scimitar's healing effect will still trigger.
- Swirling Scimitar's user needs to survive the combat for the healing effect to trigger.
- Swirling Scimitar's healing effect stacks with skills such as
Fury 4, that deal out of combat damage to their owner after combat.
- Swirling Scimitar's after combat healing will not work if the foe has a skill that prevents HP recovery such as
Fatal Smoke 4 or
Incurable+, or the user has been inflicted with
Deep Wounds.
