“Take hold of the future across many possible branches of time and try to return to your original world!” |
Seer's Snare is a special event introduced in Version 7.5.0. It was first presented in Feh Channel (April 20. 2023).
Seer's Snare is an event where summoners choose their future in the sealed-off Timeless Rift. Players must press ahead through diverging branches of time, strengthen their allies, and return to their original world!
Basics[ | ]
Team formation[ | ]
Seer's Snare is played with a team of 4 heroes. Among those, there can't be any duplicated hero, as well as a maximum of one Dance skill and one 【Savior】 skill user (units with the Assign Decoy status effect are not included).
The heroes level will be fixed at 40, but their rarity, merges, dragonflowers and traits will be kept. Any empty A, B, C or Sacred Seals skill slot will be filled with a random skill the unit can equip. The random Sacred Seals can be any currently available Sacred Seals not assign to a member of the team, even those not possessed by the player, and will be max-leveled.
After the team has been selected, it will be locked, so that any changed applied to its heroes will not be recuperated on it.
During battles, Legendary heroes stat bonuses will not be applied, the Pair Up effect, Duo/ Harmonized skills will not be usable, and experience and Skill Points will not be gained. However, Ally Support and Summoner Support will still apply, and Hero Merit will be granted. Moreover, heroes from the current bonus title will gain HP+10 and Atk/Spd/Def/Res+4.
Skills[ | ]
In Seer's Snare, the heroes deployed can equip other Passive skills in addition to the ones they already possess. In exchange for that, excluding Attuned skills, the passive skills they had when starting the event are locked until obtaining a Random Skill Unlock.
At the beginning, all heroes have an additional A, B, and C skill slot. Additionally, heroes from the bonus game titles have extra Passive skill slots that can hold A, B, or C Passive skills. After clearing the 10th and 20th Timeless Rifts, A Team Slot Unlock will be obtained which unlocks an extra row of Passive skills for all heroes deployed, for a total of 9 extra Passive skill slots (12 for heroes from the bonus game titles).
Skills can be obtained after clearing rifts, or purchased from the Vanir Seal. In addition, a Random Slot Unlock can sometimes appear, which will randomly unlock one of the locked skill of one the raiding heroes, making it active once again.
Some skills cannot appear during a playthrough. This includes the following:
- Weapon, Assist, Special or Attuned skills, or exclusive Sacred Seals such as Hardy Bearing 3 or Armored Boots.
- Skills in the 1st and 2nd tier, such as Armored Blow 1 or Sturdy Stance 1.
- Skills that any of the player's heroes cannot equipped. For example, the Rein Passives if the player does not deploy any Flying heroes.
- Skills that either is already equipped on the selected units or ones obtained from previous rewards. This does not include passives of the lower tier, where for example Swift Sparrow 2 can still show up if Swift Sparrow 3 was already either on one of the heroes or was obtained from rewards.
- Exclusive skills of heroes within the team if the unit does not have them equipped beforehand, such as All Together! if the player has Tiki: Awakened Blood on their team.
- Skills that are already in the limitations of team building, such as skills that can trigger 【Savior】 such as the Save Passives or skills that trigger when a Dance Assist is used such as the Dance or Cantrip Passives.
- Skills that triggers movement effects after combat, such as Lunge and Close Call 4.
- Skills that have little to no effect during this event, such as the Experience, Valor, Aether Raids, Duel or Resources Passives.
- Skills that are difficult to compare if a unit's stats is higher than the foe's stats, especially in later Timeless Rifts, such as the Pulse Tie, Sabotage, Ploy, or the tier 3 Boost Passives.
Going through a Rift[ | ]
Advancing through the event is done by clearing Timeless Rifts. A rift can be explored by consuming event exclusive stamina, which comes in two types: Regular stamina and Reserve stamina. Regular stamina will be restored every day, but Reserve stamina are limited. At the start of the event, 5 Reserve stamina will be given, and Unwinding Time will restored all the stamina used since the resetted location as Reserve stamina.
There are 4 categories of rifts: normal rifts, boss rifts, Vanir Seals and Safe Havens.
Normal rifts can comes in three difficulties: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced, where Advanced rift appear after the first Sub-Boss. They consists of 4 randomly generated Heroes which, unlike the traditional randomized units, can be any Heroes except Grand Heroes, Tempest Trials reward Heroes, Duo/ Harmonized Special Heroes and Legendary/ Mythic/ Emblem Heroes. These enemies will always be 5 , are equipped with Refined weapons when possible as well as A, B and C passive skills. They are also always equipped with a Time Traveler Sacred Seal. This skill reinforces the Weapon-triangle advantages and disadvantages, and includes the Colorless weapons in the lot. See Weapon-triangle#Altered advantages for more information.
Boss rifts happen every 5th rifts, and are only available in Intermediate and Advanced difficulties. They feature a Legendary, Mythic, Duo, Harmonized, Ascended or Rearmed hero as a boss, accompanied by 3 or 4 other heroes depending on the difficulty, all with their default (but refined) skill set and a Time Traveler Sacred Seal. The only exception being the last boss battle, which contains exclusively the previously listed type of heroes, with its boss being equipped with a regular Sacred Seal.
While boss battles are repeatable infinitely without consuming stamina so long as they are failed, it is also possible to Unwind Time to return to either the previous boss, or the beginning. Unwinding Time to the beginning is the only way to change the team or their skills equipped. Unwinding Time will cause the player to lose all skills gained after the resetted position, but will restored the stamina spent as well as 20% of the Rift Vessels gained or spent (up to 20,000).
After clearing a battle, the player will be granted three possibles rewards. Each rewards are composed of Rift Vessels, and either 2 skills or 1 skill and the ability to unlock a random skill, with the difficulty determining the chance of the random skill option being offered where the higher the difficulty is the higher the random skill option will appear. The type of skills granted depends on the rift selected. The rewards of every odd boss battles will always be composed of a random skill unlock, and team slot unlock for every other boss battles.
