- S/R Spiked Wall affects Charge, regular movement, and non-warping Canto effects; warping is unaffected.
- A unit can warp to a space regardless of whether a path that is not blocked by S/R Spiked Wall exists between the unit and the destination.
- A unit can warp to a space adjacent to a foe with S/R Spiked Wall active.
- S/R Spiked Wall only prevents movement through affected spaces.
- S/R Spiked Wall does not affect foes with a Pass effect or sources of unit movement.
- If Smite could move an ally 2 spaces away, it always does so regardless of whether a foe with S/R Spiked Wall is adjacent to the space in the middle.
- A unit can attack a foe with S/R Spiked Wall and then leave the space with Hit and Run, Close Call 4, or a Canto effect.
- The stat reduction that can be applied during combat by S/R Spiked Wall is considered a temporary debuff.
- The damage boosting effect of S/R Spiked Wall ignores the foe's Def or Res when calculating the damage boost, and can be reduced by damage-reduction effects such as Gust, Atk/Spd Excel, and Dodge.
- Damage boosting effects stack additively, similar to flat damage-reduction effects and interactions related to the weapon-triangle, such as Triangle Adept and the weapon-triangle advantage boost.
- A foe equipped with Invincibility Seals will neutralize all sources of damage except from Røkkr area-of-effect Specials and the minimum 1 damage from Umbra Burst weapons.
- A foe equipped with Invincible Sister will neutralize all sources of damage during combat except for the minimum 1 damage from Umbra Burst weapons only once per Phase after it triggers.
- A foe equipped with Vengeful God will neutralize all sources of damage during combat except for the minimum 1 damage from Umbra Burst weapons only once per Phase after Miracle triggers if that foe's HP ≥ 25% at start of combat.

- The flat damage-reduction effect is a flat -7 damage that is calculated after offensive Specials, damage boosting effects such as Arcane Lúin and Dominance, and "reduces damage by X%" effects such as Gust and Dodge.
- If a skill such as Miracle or Everliving Domain can trigger, the damage-reduction effect will not trigger and the user will still survive with only 1 HP.
- Umbra Burst weapons will always deal a minimum of 1 damage even if the foe is equipped with Invincible Sister, Vengeful God, Invincibility Seals, or damage reduction effects.
- Flat damage-reduction effects stack additively, similar to damage boosting effects and interactions related to the weapon-triangle, such as Triangle Adept and the weapon-triangle advantage boost.
- Flat damage-reduction effects cannot be neutralized or reduced only during combat by effects such as Share Spoils+ or Halves non-Special damage reduction.

- S/R Spiked Wall will neutralize the "Special cooldown charge -X" effect on unit from effects such as Guard Sword+, Guard, or 【Divine Vein (Vert)】.
- Since the "Special cooldown charge -X" effect will be neutralized on unit, S/R Spiked Wall will also stack with the "Special cooldown charge +X" effect on unit from effects such as Heavy Blade 4, Special Cooldown Charge +1, or the Grand Conquests Infantry area effect, unless the foe is equipped with skills that neutralize the "Special cooldown charge +X" effect on unit.
