Notes
- Rising Light inflicts out of combat damage.
- Out of combat damage cannot reduce a unit's HP to 0.
- A foe equipped with Embla's Ward, Múspellflame, Niðavellir Axiom, or Gold Perfection will neutralize all sources of out of combat damage except Røkkr area-of-effect Specials.
- A foe equipped with Røkkr or a unit affected by En Garde will neutralize all sources of out of combat damage except area-of-effect Specials.
- Def is chosen if the unit does physical damage. Res is chosen if the unit does magical damage.
- Rising Light is affected by skills that "calculate damage using the lower of foe's Def or Res", as well as skills that disable such effect.
- Exceptions include skills that grant or disable this effect only "during combat", such as Inf. Hexblade 3 and Light and Dark II.
- Damage dealt "before combat", like from Rising Light, is affected by Bonuses, Penalties, Dominance, and Treachery.
- Damage dealt "before combat", like from Rising Light, is not affected by "during combat" effects such as Bonus Doubler, Foe Penalty Doubler, Cross Spur Atk, or weapon-triangle advantages.
- Skills such as Queensblade will prevent Rising Light from triggering.
