Description | Effective against flying and armored foes. Grants Atk+3. If foe's HP = 100% at start of combat, neutralizes penalties on unit and inflicts Atk/Def-6 on foe during combat. |
Notes[ | ]
- When battling a Flying unit, Attack is multiplied by 1.5.
- Sources of Flying effectiveness neutralization:
- When battling an Armored unit, Attack is multiplied by 1.5.
- Dragonhide, Svalinn Shield, Dew Dragonstone, Maltet, and the Neutralize Effective Against Armored status effect will neutralize the attack increase against Armored units.
- Randgríðr can neutralize penalties.
- Penalties are neutralized by granting temporary buffs of the same amount during combat.
- Temporary buffs from Randgríðr do not stack with temporary buffs from effects such as Grand Strategy and Atk/Spd Unity, only temporary buffs from Randgríðr will apply.
- The stat decrease that can be applied by Randgríðr is considered a temporary debuff.
Upgrades[ | ]
Can be upgraded in the Weapon Refinery. For a list of other such weapons, see list of upgradable weapons.
Notes[ | ]
- "If unit initiates combat" means if the user starts combat during the player phase. The unit does not need to deal damage, nor be the first to attack.
- However, if the effect is applied after combat, the unit must also survive it to fulfill this condition.
- The stat increase that can be applied by Randgríðr is considered a temporary buff.
- The temporary buffs of Randgríðr will activate if the user receives a 【Bonus】 and/or a 【Penalty】 (excluding bonuses and penalties).
- The temporary buffs will be negated if the user does not receive a 【Bonus】 or a 【Penalty】 (excluding bonuses and penalties), or the user has their 【Bonus】 and/or 【Penalty】 removed by a source of status effect neutralization.
- For more information, see List of keywords.
- The guaranteed follow-up and damage-reduction effects of Randgríðr will activate if the user receives a 【Bonus】.
- The guaranteed follow-up and damage-reduction effects will not be negated if the unit receives a 【Penalty】.
- If the unit does not receive a 【Bonus】, or has their 【Bonus】 removed by a source of positive status effect neutralization, the guaranteed follow-up and damage-reduction effects will be negated.
- For more information, see List of keywords.
- As a general rule, if a unit is both prevented from making, and guaranteed to make a follow-up attack, the effects cancel out, and the Spd difference decides instead (including effects that alter this difference).
- A foe with effects such as Phys. Null Follow or Null Follow-Up will neutralize the guaranteed follow-up attack granted by Randgríðr.
- The damage-reduction is calculated after offensive Specials and damage boosting effects such as Arcane Lúin and Dominance.
- If a skill such as Miracle or Everliving Domain can trigger, the damage-reduction effect will not trigger and the user will still survive with only 1 HP.
- Percentage-based damage-reduction effects stack multiplicatively, unlike interactions related to the weapon-triangle, such as Triangle Adept and the weapon-triangle advantage boost.
- For example, if both Buffer 4 and Godlike Reflexes activate, the maximum total damage-reduction is 70% instead of 90%, since the two skills reduce the damage to (1 − 50%) × (1 − 40%) = 30% of the original damage.
- For more information, see Damage calculation.
