“Devise strategies with your units to challenge Loki in her game of the gods!” |
Pawns of Loki is a special event introduced in Version 4.11.0. It was first presented in Feh Channel (Nov 3, 2020).
Pawns of Loki, an event in which players battle using Forma, special units made in the image of Heroes, that are specific to this mode, begins now! For more information, see the notification about the event.
Basics[ | ]
- Players use their current Brigade team to create a pool of heroes to be randomly generated as Forma in the Pawns of Loki Round.
- Turns will start with the Setup Phase, where players receive War Funds and can draft, discharge and rearrange Forma, then the Battle Phase, where combat happens automatically.
- The round starts with 5 Level 10 Forma available to draft on turn 1, with at least one of each color, with 1 Forma already being deployed first. On turn 3, 3 new Forma will be available to be purchased at Level 15, then on turn 4 onward 2 new Forma at increasing increments of 5 Levels will be available each turn until the end of the round, maxing out at Level 45.
- Players receive 2 War Funds at the start of their turn, increasing by 2 for every subsequent turn, up to 18 War Funds on turn 9.
- Relief Funds occur when players has two consecutive turn losses onward, where it will multiply the next War Fund players receive the next turn by x1.5 until players wins a turn. For example, players losing on turns 5 and 6 will have the War Funds received at the start of turn 7 be 21 War Funds instead of 14.
- The shop can be rerolled to switch in 5 random Forma of the pool available at that turn, where the first reroll each turn is free and subsequent rerolls during that turn costing 2 War Funds.
- The rarity and skills equipped will depend on the Forma's Level, where Forma at 19 or lower will be at 3 rarity and be equipped with weapons and specials that are at 150 SP or lower and A/B/C Passives and Sacred Seals at 75 SP, 20 to 29 be at 4 rarity and be equipped with weapons and specials that are at 250 SP or lower and A/B/C Passives and Sacred Seals at 150 SP, and 30+ be at 5 rarity and have all their skills and Sacred Seal equipped.
- There are 5 rows and 4 columns on the board, totaling at 20 spaces on the board where the top two rows are the foe's spaces, the bottom two rows the player's spaces, and an empty row in the middle.
- Alongside the 8 spaces on the board the player has, there are also 4 reserve spaces for players to place Forma.
- Drafting the 3rd of the same Forma, including those in the reserve spaces, will combine all 3 Forma automatically, increasing their levels by 10 and raising all the other current Forma's levels on the board, reserve and current shop by 2.
- Discharging Forma will have players gain the the Forma's worth in War Funds in full for the first discharge each turn, then in half, rounded down, on subsequent discharges during that turn.
- Combos occur when there are certain combinations of weapon and movement types on the current team, where Combos increases the HP and stats of all the Forma before the start of the Battle Phase, going up to +28. Combos happen on the player's team when:
- There are at most two instances of at least 3 Forma of matching weapon types, being Melee, Beast, Dragonstone, Bow, Dagger, Magic, and Staff. These Combos give +2 each if all colors of that weapon type are the same, increasing by 2 for each different color of that weapon type, up to +8 each Combo.
- There are at least two instances of at least 2 Forma with matching movement types, being Infantry, Armored, Cavalry, and Flying. This Combo gives +4 if there are 2 pairs of different movement types, and +6 if there is at least 3 pairs.
- There are at least 3 different movement types on the team, being Infantry, Armored, Cavalry, and Flying. This Combo gives +4 if there are at least 3 different movement types, and +6 for all movement types.
- Bonus Weapon Types will give score based on the amount of the Forma that match the current Bonus Weapon Types on that round depending on what weapon types the Forma have if at the start of the Battle Phase, maxing out if at least 30% of the Forma on the board match the current Bonus Weapon Types. The list includes:
- Close:
- Ranged:
- Physical:
- Magical:
- All:
- The Battle Phase will have units attack in a specific order, prioritizing the row nearest to the middle first, then highest Forma Level, then highest Spd, then the Player's Forma, then the leftmost Forma.
- Units will prioritize combat with foes that share the same column, targeting the ones near the middle row first, then prioritize their foe that will act next on their turn in adjacent columns.
- Close units will move directly under the foe and attack while Ranged units move to be 2 spaces under the foe, switching places with allies in the process if a friendly unit occupies the space the unit needs to attack from before returning to their original position after combat. Units that do not share the same column as their next foe will move into the same column and attack, also switching places with allies for combat before returning to their original positions as well. Any new positioning that occurs for that combat will account for after combat effects (including after Canto movement) such as Spd Smoke 4 and Fortifications, ally's skills in combat such as Spur Atk/Spd 2 and Fell Protection, and movement that occurs during the positioning will count the amount of spaces the unit moved for skills such as Atk/Spd Clash 4 and Silent Yule Knife.
- Score is based on, at the end of the turn, the Base Score, the amount of Total HP of the player's Forma over the enemy's Total HP, Victory Bonus if there are no enemy Forma, and on turn 3 onward the Bonus Weapon Type.
- The Base Score receive depends on the difficulty, where Beginner has 250 Base Score, Intermediate has 350 Base Score, and Advanced has 550 Base Score.
- The Final Score will be the cumulative score from the end of each turn, and is calculated either after all 9 turns have been elapsed or after the player has surrendered.
Notes[ | ]
- The Player's start of turn effects will occur first before the foe's start of turn effects. This will affect interactions between skills such as Freezing Seal II affecting the foe first before the foe's skills trigger such as Odd Recovery 3 and Severance.
- Turn numbers are also counted for specific skills, such as Quickened Pulse, Even Atk Wave 3 and Petrify.
- Skills that grant an extra action to the user after an ally's combat if the unit already acted such as Forever Yours or to another ally that has already acted such as Requiem Dance and Light Is Time will have that unit with the extra action act immediately after due to that unit following the attack order again.
- The following effects are disabled during the Battle Phase:
- Skills on both the ally and foe that affects movement after combat, such as Drag Back or Hit and Run.
- 【Savior】 skills on the foe such as A/D Near Save 3 and With Everyone! II.
- The "unit cannot counterattack" effect of the Counterattacks disrupted status inflicted on the ally units.
- Skills on the foe that end the unit's turn such as Future-Focused and Nightmare.
