Njörðr is the king of Vanaheimr and god of the sea. At first, he appears to be a benevolent king who helps the Order of Heroes defeat Gullveig, but in reality, he is a vengeful ruler and the true villain of Book VII. He was first mentioned in Goddess's Descent and first appears in Audience with the King.
