Kiragi	There’s good hunting that close by? Cool! I’d love to see it sometime!

Here we are! This is the best hunting spot I’ve found.		Selkie
Kiragi	Ah… This forest is deep and green. Full of fruit and plenty of prey!
It reminds me of the Deeprealms.		Selkie

Selkie	Neimi’s a hunter too! We hunt together sometimes.

Neimi	I’m not very good at it. Still learning. Though Selkie’s taught me a lot…
You’re doing great! Your bow aim has gotten lots better lately.		Selkie
Kiragi	Oh, cool! I use a bow too. Always nice to meet a fellow archer.

Kiragi	You seem to be running low on arrows, though, by the look of it. On your way to resupply?
No, um… I just don’t bring many arrows with me when I hunt, so…		Neimi
Selkie	Neimi’s trying to be like her grandpa. He’s so good that he only ever brings one arrow on a hunt!
What’s he do if he misses?		Kiragi
Neimi	That’s just it! He doesn’t! Ever!
Wow. I wonder if it helps him focus, knowing he’s only got the one shot.		Kiragi
Neimi	Yes, exactly. That’s why people call him “Single-Arrow Zethla.”

Neimi	I’m practicing my marksmanship so I can make myself useful to the Order of Heroes. That’s my hope, anyway. It was too much to start out with only one arrow, but I’ve slowly been bringing fewer and fewer.
That makes sense, yeah. And it’s a way of hunting I never would’ve even considered. Thanks for explaining it to me. You’ve really opened my eyes!		Kiragi


Kiragi	See it, Ronan? In the shadow of that big tree there! It’s the same boar we saw earlier!
Wow…good eye. All right, let’s get just a bit closer, and…here goes!		Ronan

I’m impressed, Kiragi. I don’t think I would have spotted the boar from that distance.		Ronan
Kiragi	Hah, thanks. I’ve always had a knack for spotting prey. You’re the better tracker, though. You seemed to know the way the prey would go before they did.
Time and experience, that’s all. Anyway, shall we call it a day?		Ronan
Kiragi	Why? We’ve still got plenty of traps and ammunition.
We also have enough food for a feast. Let’s be mindful not to overhunt.		Ronan
Kiragi	Good point. With what we’ve caught today, we won’t have to worry about going hungry for a while.
Agreed. But more to the point, this bounty came at the cost of life. For that reason, we take as much as we need to live, and no more.		Ronan
Kiragi	You’re right…
Nature blesses us with life, so long as we live in harmony with it. We must remember to be grateful.		Ronan

Kiragi	I was just thinking that Askr’s really nice. Nature really thrives here because everyone respects it.
Askr’s great! The people here aren’t too scared of a kitsune to play with me.		Selkie
Kiragi	I’d hate to see the war tear such a beautiful kingdom apart. That’s why I want to help my dad and everyone else protect it.
