My Nintendo Points are earned by completing missions (or redeeming Point Codes) and can be spent on a number of rewards, such as Stamina Potions, Light's Blessings, Hero Feathers, Dueling Crests or Universal Shards / Crystals. Additionally, a one-off reward of 10 Orbs is available for 0 My Nintendo Points.
Most missions are one-offs, totaling 3,030 points, but there are additional weekly (100 points) and monthly (10 points) missions. Points can only be earned if you have linked a Nintendo Account. They must be collected within a month of completing a mission, and must be spent on rewards within six months or they will expire.
Rewards can be bought either in-game, from the flashing My Nintendo Point to the right of the Quests and Missions page title, or online at the My Nintendo website. Fire Emblem Heroes points collected on Android or iOS can only be spent in-game on the respective operating system, but can be spent via the My Nintendo website regardless of which type of device they were earned on.
Points earned through Fire Emblem Heroes and other games (currently Super Mario Run and Animal Crossing) are not compatible with each other and can only be spent on the respective game, but points earned by completing Nintendo Services and Secret Missions can be spent on any game.

There are a number of additional secret missions. Visiting any of the official Nintendo regional websites while signed into your Nintendo Account automatically adds 30 points to your account, and can be collected once per week (resets 12am on Monday, local time, as set in your Nintendo Account). The My Nintendo sign-in bonus is also weekly and can be collected from the My Nintendo homepage: if you have a Mii set via My Nintendo's Mii Studio or NintendoID, click on the platinum coin on the ground near the Mii wandering around near the Coin Box; if you don't have a Mii, click on the gift-box to the right of the "Set a Mii" A-Board below the Coin Box. Other secret missions are occasional; if you have a Mii, they sometimes go fishing on the My Nintendo homepage, and you can click on them when they have a speech bubble with a coin, or if they are floating around on balloons, click on the platinum coloured balloon. At other times three random Miis appear hidden around the My Nintendo website in a number of predetermined places. The My Nintendo subreddit lists these as and when they become available.

Point Codes[ | ]
Point Codes are occasionally given away through Nintendo promotions. So far, Club Nintendo members were given points via email on the release of My Nintendo, and codes were bundled with the NES (1,000 Points) and Super NES (300 Points) Classic Editions. According to Nintendo: "From time to time, Nintendo sends out special promotional My Nintendo point codes to select My Nintendo members, based on various criteria. As with every promotion, not everyone will receive a code."
