- Marth's name in Japanese is written as マルス (romanized as "marusu"). This is also how Mars (the Roman God of war) is written in Japanese. It was believed that Mars is the the hero's intended name, but for some unknown reason Marth (the "su" syllable can represent either an "s" or a "th" in Japanese) was chosen by Nintendo and became the official name.
- His girlfriend is Caeda. They are engaged at the beginning of Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem and married by the end.
- Before Code Name: S.T.E.A.M., Marth did not have an English voice in video games. His first one was by Spike Spencer in the Fire Emblem OVA.
- The circlet that Marth wears is a gift from his older sister, Elice.
- Marth makes an appearance in Dragalia Lost as part of the Fire Emblem: Lost Heroes event.
