The stat increase that can be applied by Magic Shield is considered a Bonus.
- Any 【Bonus】 on a unit, including Bonuses, lasts until the start of that unit's next phase. If Bonuses are acquired during the enemy phase, they will disappear when the next player phase begins.
Magic Shield applies the Neutralize Penalties status effect.
- Any 【Bonus】 on a unit lasts until the start of that unit's next phase. If Neutralize Penalties is acquired during the enemy phase, it will disappear when the next player phase begins.

Neutralize Penalties can neutralize Penalties.
- Penalties are neutralized by granting temporary buffs of the same amount during combat.
- Temporary buffs from Neutralize Penalties do not stack with temporary buffs from effects such as Grand Strategy and Atk/Spd Unity, only temporary buffs from Neutralize Penalties will apply.
