| Description | Accelerates Special trigger (cooldown count-1). At start of combat, if unit's HP ≥ 25%, grants bonus to unit's Atk/Spd/Def/Res = number of allies within 3 rows or 3 columns centered on unit × 3, + 5 (max 14), neutralizes effects that guarantee foe's follow-up attacks and effects that prevent unit's follow-up attacks, and reduces damage from foe's first attack by 40% during combat ("first attack" normally means only the first strike; for effects that grant "unit attacks twice," it means the first and second strikes). Grants the following effects to allies within 3 rows or 3 columns centered on unit, and if unit's HP ≥ 25% at start of combat, to unit: when that unit or ally's Special triggers during combat, reduces the percentage of foe's non-Special "reduce damage by X%" skills by percentage = that unit or ally's max Special cooldown count value × 30, + 10 (max 100%; excluding area-of-effect Specials), and also, if that unit or ally's max Special cooldown count value ≥ 3 and their attack can trigger their Special, grants Special cooldown count-1 to that unit or ally before their first attack during combat. At start of turn, if unit is adjacent to only beast or dragon allies or is not adjacent to any ally, unit transforms (otherwise, unit reverts). If unit transforms, grants Atk+2 to unit, inflicts Atk/Def-X on foe during combat (X = number of spaces from start position to end position of whoever initiated combat, + 3; max 6), and also, if X ≥ 5, reduces damage from foe's first attack by 30% during combat. |

- The stat boost that can be applied during combat by Love of Nerþuz is considered a temporary buff.
- Love of Nerþuz will not neutralize the additional follow-up of Potent Follow effects.
- Follow-up effects that are neutralized by Love of Nerþuz:
- Effects that grant the foe a guaranteed follow-up such as Quick Riposte 4, Guaranteed follow-ups during combat, or the Grand Conquests Cavalry area effect.
- Effects active on the unit that prevent their follow-up attacks, such as Windsweep 3, Watersweep 3, or Weaving Fighter.
- Effects active on the foe that prevent the unit's follow-up attacks such as Steady Impact, Vengeful Fighter 4, or Foe Cannot Follow-Up.
- The non-Special "reduces damage by X%" effect is calculated after offensive Specials and damage boosting effects such as Arcane Lúin and Dominance.
- If a skill such as Miracle or Everliving Domain can trigger, the damage-reduction effect will not trigger and the user will still survive with only 1 HP.
- Umbra Burst weapons will always deal a minimum of 1 damage even if the foe is equipped with Invincible Sister, Vengeful God, Invincibility Seals, or damage reduction effects.
- "Reduces damage by X%" effects stack multiplicatively, unlike interactions related to the weapon-triangle, such as Triangle Adept and the weapon-triangle advantage boost.
- Non-Special "reduces damage by X%" effects can be neutralized or reduced only during combat by effects such as Share Spoils+ or Halves non-Special damage reduction.

- For example, if a unit has Halves non-Special damage reduction and a foe with Dodge is on a space with 【Divine Vein (Water)】, the maximum total damage-reduction is reduced to 10%, since the two effects reduce the damage to (1 − ((40% − 50%) − 50%)) = 90% of the original damage instead of 60% of the original damage.
- Each damage-reduction effect is reduced individually.
- For example, if a unit has Halves non-Special damage reduction and the foe has both Spurn 4 and Dodge, the maximum total damage-reduction is reduced to 40%, since the two effects reduce the damage to (1 − (50% − 50%)) × (1 − (40% − 50%)) = 60% of the original damage instead of 30% of the original damage.
- Love of Nerþuz will not reduce the effect of Special "reduces damage by X%" effects or flat damage-reduction effects such as Ice Wall or Laguz Loyalty.

- Love of Nerþuz's Special cooldown count reduction that occurs during combat is a flat -1 and is not affected by effects related to Special cooldown charge such as Guard, Special Cooldown Charge +1, and Tempo Echo.
- All flat cooldown count increases and/or reductions during combat will stack with each other if they trigger at the same time.
- For example, if a unit has Preempt Pulse and Hush Spectrum, the effects will stack and the unit's cooldown count will neither increase nor decrease.
- All flat cooldown count increases and/or reductions during combat will stack with each other if they trigger at the same time.
- The damage reduction reducing and Special cooldown count reducing effects of Love of Nerþuz will not apply to the user's allies if the user is inflicted with Time's Grip, the user's allies are inflicted with Feud, or the user's allies are in combat against a foe with skills such as Impenetrable Void and C Feud 3.
- When equipped with skills such as Beast or Beast Passives, a Beast unit will transform out of combat on turn 1 regardless of whether any transformation conditions are met such as from user's weapon or effects that add transformation conditions.
- Skills such as Beast or Beast Passives will also keep the unit from reverting from their Beast form.
- The Atk+2 granted by Love of Nerþuz when the user transforms is considered a stat boost, not a 【Bonus】 effect.
- The stat reduction that can be applied during combat by Love of Nerþuz is considered a temporary debuff.
- The calculation of "spaces from start position to end position" counts the total number of spaces from the initiator's starting position to the end position before combat.
- The calculation includes spaces occupied by an ally with the 【Pathfinder】 effect.
- The start position used in the calculation references the initiator's starting position after being moved by sources of unit movement such as Reposition Gait.
- The non-Special "reduces damage by X%" effect is calculated after offensive Specials and damage boosting effects such as Arcane Lúin and Dominance.
- If a skill such as Miracle or Everliving Domain can trigger, the damage-reduction effect will not trigger and the user will still survive with only 1 HP.
