Description	If foe's Range = 2, calculates damage using the lower of foe's Def or Res. If unit initiates combat or is within 2 spaces of an ally, grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res+5 to unit, unit makes a guaranteed follow-up attack, and reduces the percentage of foe's non-Special "reduce damage by X%" skills by 50% during combat (excluding area-of-effect Specials).

Attacks that "calculate damage using the lower of foe's Def or Res" include attacks during combat and area-of-effect Specials.
- Close Ward, Mystic Boost 4, Divine Naga, Indignant Bow, Naga, Spirit Forest Writ, Splashy Bucket, and Splashy Bucket+ will disable this effect.
- Rare Talent, Aureola, Radiant Aureola, and Light and Dark II will disable this effect during combat, but not against area-of-effect Specials.

"If unit initiates combat" means if the user starts combat during the player phase. The unit does not need to deal damage, nor be the first to attack.
- However, if the effect is applied after combat, the unit must also survive it to fulfill this condition.
The stat increase that can be applied by Ice Dragonstone is considered a temporary buff.
As a general rule, if a unit is both prevented from making, and guaranteed to make a follow-up attack, the effects cancel out, and the Spd difference decides instead (including effects that alter the Spd difference such as Frozen).
A foe with effects such as Phys. Null Follow or Null Follow-Up will neutralize the guaranteed follow-up attack granted by Ice Dragonstone.
Ice Dragonstone will reduce the effect of non-Special "reduces damage by X%" effects from Specials such as Vital Astra.
- Damage-reduction reducing effects stack multiplicatively, unlike interactions related to the weapon-triangle, such as Triangle Adept and the weapon-triangle advantage boost.
  - For example, if a unit has Halves non-Special damage reduction and a foe with Dodge is on a space with 【Divine Vein (Water)】, the maximum total damage-reduction is reduced to 10%, since the two effects reduce the damage to (1 − ((40% − 50%) − 50%)) = 90% of the original damage instead of 60% of the original damage.
- Each damage-reduction effect is reduced individually.
  - For example, if a unit has Halves non-Special damage reduction and the foe has both Spurn 4 and Dodge, the maximum total damage-reduction is reduced to 40%, since the two effects reduce the damage to (1 − (50% − 50%)) × (1 − (40% − 50%)) = 60% of the original damage instead of 30% of the original damage.
- Ice Dragonstone will not reduce the effect of Special "reduces damage by X%" effects such as Gust or Laguz Friend 4.
