Description | Accelerates Special trigger (cooldown count-1). At start of turn, if unit's Special cooldown count is at its maximum value, grants Special cooldown count-1 to unit. At start of combat, if unit's HP ≥ 25%, grants bonus to unit's Atk/Spd/Def/Res = 5 + number of foes within 3 rows or 3 columns centered on unit × 3 (max 14), neutralizes effects that guarantee foe's follow-up attacks and effects that prevent unit's follow-up attacks, and neutralizes effects that inflict "Special cooldown charge -X" on unit during combat, and also, when unit's Special triggers, neutralizes foe's "reduces damage by X%" effects from foe's non-Special skills (excluding area-of-effect Specials) during combat. If unit's HP ≥ 25% at start of combat and unit's Special cooldown count is at its maximum value after combat, grants Special cooldown count-1 to unit after combat. At start of turn, if unit is adjacent to only beast or dragon allies or is not adjacent to any ally, unit transforms (otherwise, unit reverts). If unit transforms, grants Atk+2 to unit, inflicts Atk/Def-X on foe during combat (X = number of spaces from start position to end position of whoever initiated combat, + 3; max 6), and also, if X ≥ 5, reduces damage from foe's first attack by 30% during combat. |

Notes[ | ]
- Hungry Cat Fang has the same effect as Time's Pulse 3.
- Hungry Cat Fang's cooldown count changing effect will not trigger if the unit is inflicted with False Start, unless False Start is neutralized by a skill such as Dream Deliverer.
- Cooldown count changes from skills that activate at the same time as Hungry Cat Fang (at start of turn) are not considered in Hungry Cat Fang's conditions.[1] Skills such as Infantry Pulse 4, Buffer 4, and Odd Pulse Tie 3 will have their effects stack.
- The stat increase that can be applied by Hungry Cat Fang is considered a temporary buff.
- Hungry Cat Fang will not neutralize the additional follow-up of 【Potent Follow X%】 or 【Potent Follow 100%】.
- Effects that are neutralized by Hungry Cat Fang:
- Effects that grant the foe a guaranteed follow-up such as Quick Riposte 4, Guaranteed Follow-Ups, or the Grand Conquests Cavalry area effect.
- Effects active on the unit that prevent their follow-up attacks, such as Windsweep 3, Watersweep 3, or Weaving Fighter.
- Effects active on the foe that prevent the unit's follow-up attacks such as Steady Impact, Vengeful Fighter 4, or Foe Cannot Follow-Up.
- Hungry Cat Fang will neutralize the "Special cooldown charge -X" effect on unit from effects such as Guard Sword+, Guard, or 【Divine Vein (Green)】.
- Since the "Special cooldown charge -X" effect will be neutralized on unit, Hungry Cat Fang will also stack with the "Special cooldown charge +X" effect on unit from effects such as Heavy Blade 4, Special Cooldown Charge +1, or the Grand Conquests Infantry area effect, unless the foe is equipped with skills that neutralize the "Special cooldown charge +X" effect on unit.
- Hungry Cat Fang will neutralize non-Special "reduces damage by X%" effects from Specials such as Vital Astra.
- Hungry Cat Fang will not neutralize Special "reduces damage by X%" effects such as Gust or Laguz Friend 4.
- For more information, see Damage calculation.
- Hungry Cat Fang triggers before after combat Specials such as Galeforce and Røkkr AoE Specials.
- Cooldown count changes from skills that activate at the same time as Hungry Cat Fang (after combat) are not considered in Hungry Cat Fang's conditions. Skills such as Special Spiral 4, Time's Pulse 4, and Pulse Smog will have their effects stack.
- When equipped with skills such as Beast or Beast Passives, a Beast unit will transform out of combat on turn 1 regardless of whether the transformation conditions of the user's weapon are met.
- Skills such as Beast or Beast Passives will also keep the unit from reverting from their Beast form.
- The Atk+2 granted by Hungry Cat Fang when the user transforms is considered a stat boost, not a 【Bonus】 effect.
- The stat decrease that can be applied by Hungry Cat Fang is considered a temporary debuff.
- The calculation of "spaces from start position to end position" counts the total number of spaces from the initiator's starting position to the end position before combat.
- The calculation includes spaces occupied by an ally with the 【Pathfinder】 effect.
- The start position used in the calculation references the initiator's starting position after being moved by sources of unit movement such as Reposition.
- The damage-reduction effect is calculated after offensive Specials and damage boosting effects such as Arcane Lúin and Dominance.
- If a skill such as Miracle or Everliving Domain can trigger, the damage-reduction effect will not trigger and the user will still survive with only 1 HP.
- "Reduces damage by X%" effects stack multiplicatively, unlike interactions related to the weapon-triangle, such as Triangle Adept and the weapon-triangle advantage boost.
- Non-Special "reduces damage by X%" effects can be neutralized or reduced by effects such as Share Spoils or Halves non-Special damage reduction.
- For more information, see Damage calculation.
- "If unit transforms" refers to out of combat transformations of Beast units. Transformations during combat will not trigger the stat boost, temporary debuffs, and damage-reduction effects.
- However, if the effect(s) apply after combat, the unit must also survive combat to fulfill this condition.
