If foe with Range = 2 initiates combat against an ally within 2 spaces of unit, triggers 【Savior】on unit.

If foe's Range = 2, grants Def/Res+4 to unit during combat.

Unit takes ally's space, enters combat in ally's place, and receives all after-combat effects.

Savior will not trigger if ally is on terrain that unit cannot move to or if multiple units are able to use Savior during the same combat. If Savior triggers, after-combat movement effects do not occur.

Notes[]

  • Higher Ground can prevent foes from warping.
  • "If foe initiates combat" means if a foe triggers combat during the enemy phase. The unit being initiated upon does not need to deal damage, nor be able to counterattack.
    • However, if the effect is applied after combat, the unit being initiated upon must also survive it to fulfill this condition.
  • 【Savior】 is triggered after Area-of-effect Specials (excluding Røkkr area-of-effect Specials).
  • 【Savior】 will not trigger if the user has multiple 【Savior】 effects or if multiple units with a 【Savior】 effect can protect the same ally.
  • 【Savior】 will not protect the user's allies who are inflicted with  Undefended or are in combat against a foe with skills such as Icon Skill Weapon Enclosing Claw.
  • Effects such as  Time's Grip and  Feud will not disable 【Savior】.
  • If 【Savior】 is triggered:
    • The user is considered as adjacent to the protected ally, which means skills that have the "If unit is adjacent to an ally" condition trigger, while skills that have the "If unit is not adjacent to an ally" condition do not trigger.
    • The user will not be able to trigger effects with a condition that "excludes when 【Savior】 triggers" such as Might of Myriads Might of Myriads, Spd Preempt 3 Spd Preempt 3, or  Paranoia.
    • Only during combat skills that are active on the protected ally will be accounted on the user.
    • "After combat" movement is disabled, even if the user or foe is defeated, such as with the movement from Repel 4 Repel 4, Harrowing Call Harrowing Call, or Movement Passives.
    • The protected ally is unaffected by "after combat" effects, such as from Icon Class Colorless Staff Pain+ and Fatal Smoke 4 Fatal Smoke 4.
  • The stat boost that can be applied during combat by Higher Ground is considered a temporary buff.
    • Effects such as Impenetrable Void Impenetrable Void and  Feud will not disable Higher Ground's temporary buffs but will still disable other ally skills from activating.
