Harmony amid Chaos/Annette: Overachiever


Annette	Again?! Oh, why do I always do this?
What's wrong, Annette? The food's delicious, I promise! Relax and dig in!		Anna
Annette	Thanks, but...I just can't shake the feeling that I messed up making it.
Oh, that's right—you were on cooking duty today. Really, though, don't worry about a thing. The stew came out fantastic!		Anna
Annette	Thanks, but, um...it wasn't actually meant to be a stew. I actually set out to make a custard...
Seriously?		Anna
Annette	Yes! I started with some fruit in a pot, and it just...I don't know! It got away from me somehow!
OK, now I'm intrigued. How does one go from custard to stew, exactly?		Anna
Annette	Well, I was browsing the market for ingredients, and I saw so many things that I'd never seen in Fódlan... And by the time I got back, I had all this extra stuff, and somehow it all just ended up in the pot!
Well, this is the worst custard I've ever had. But as a stew, it's pretty great. That's what matters, right?		Anna
Annette	You know what? You're right. I'll take any culinary victory I can get!


Anna	Custard aside, Annette, you really are a talented cook. And somehow you find time to help out with chores too. It's a little surprising to see, I have to say, considering your noble heritage.
More nobles know their way around a kitchen than you might think! Actually, even though my uncle had his own castle, I wasn't raised in that kind of environment. My parents had a small house in the Kingdom capital, and they never had the money to hire household staff. So, growing up, I got pretty used to doing most of the chores myself.		Annette
Anna	That makes sense. No wonder you always seem to be on top of things!
You think I'm on top of things?! Haha! The truth is, I'm constantly messing stuff up. I don't even know how! Just a little while ago, I went to put a pot of water on the stove, and the bottom fell right off! Sploosh!		Annette
Anna	That's...a new one. How did you manage that?
No idea! I was just boiling water to wash clothes with! Thankfully the pot wasn't full of stew at the time...		Annette
Anna	So, how'd the bottom fall— You know what? Not important. Let's call it one of life's little mysteries. Unexplained mishaps aside, you do a great job. We're happy to have you around, Annette.

Anna	Mmm... Wow! The kitchen smells amazing today.
Hey, Commander Anna! Come in and have a taste. I'm just about done with this batch.		Annette
Anna	Happily! Would you like some help as well?

Anna	All right! Let's get to it then! I'm pretty handy with a spatula, if I do say so myself.
Anna	Uh... Annette? What are you putting in that pot?
Honey! What this dish needs is a little dash of sweetness, don't you think?		Annette
Anna	Sure, but you seem to be going for way more than a dash. If you use the whole jar, you'll end up with a mush!
Oh, good point. Thanks, Commander Anna—I was about to make the same mistake I made last time!		Annette
Anna	Hah! Count on me to keep you in line! With your talent, and my watchful eye, we'll make a great team. Now, let's make some kitchen magic!
