Notes[]
- Cardinal directions refers to spaces directly north, south, east, or west of the user. Distance does not factor.
- The calculation of "distance from unit to foe" counts the total number of spaces between the the unit and the foe.
- The calculation includes spaces occupied by an ally with the 【Pathfinder】 effect.
- Future-Focused can end the foe's action.
- Future-Focused triggers after start-of-turn effects and is unaffected by False Start.
- Action ending effects such as Leaden Regrets, Future-Sighted, and After Start-of-Turn Skills Trigger, Action Ends Immediately can be neutralized by effects such as Firm Canto Curb.
- Action ending effects such as from Foresight Snare, Aether Raids Structures, and units in the Special Slot on the defensive team cannot be neutralized by effects such as Firm Canto Curb.
- If an effect that grants "another action" to unit would trigger, (such as with Galeforce) the extra action will be granted before 【Canto (Dist.; Max 3, Min 1)】 triggers (excluding effects that grant "another action" after Canto).
- 【Canto (Dist.; Max 3, Min 1)】 will not trigger after an effect that grants "another action" if it has already been triggered that turn or if the unit does not perform an action.
- 【Canto (Dist.; Max 3, Min 1)】 triggers after "after combat" movement effects such as Repel 4, Harrowing Call, or Movement Passives.
- If 【Canto (Dist.; Max 3, Min 1)】 has already been triggered that turn, Canto re-enabling effects can allow 【Canto (Dist.; Max 3, Min 1)】 to trigger again.
- If an ally has an effect such as Salvage or Summer Chilling, the unit can also warp to the ally after triggering Canto regardless of distance restrictions.
- Canto Control will reduce the amount of movement granted by 【Canto (Dist.; Max 3, Min 1)】 to 1 space (or 2 spaces with Salvage) for Range = 1 units and 0 spaces (or 1 space with Salvage) for Range = 2 units.
- 【Canto (Dist.; Max 3, Min 1)】 takes into account the unit's Move Type and the movement restrictions involved with it. For Example, a Cavalry unit cannot use 【Canto (Dist.; Max 3, Min 1)】 to enter or cross through a forest.
- 【Canto (Dist.; Max 3, Min 1)】 also takes into account effects that alter a unit's normal movement such as movement preventing effects, Divine Vein effects, Pass effects, Traverse Terrain, and 【Pathfinder】.
- 【Canto (Dist.; Max 3, Min 1)】 also takes into account warping effects such as Guidance 4 and Air Orders. However, the distance is limited to the maximum amount of spaces allotted by 【Canto (Dist.; Max 3, Min 1)】.
- The calculation of "spaces from start position to end position" counts the total number of spaces from the initiator's starting position to the end position before combat.
- The calculation includes spaces occupied by an ally with the 【Pathfinder】 effect.
- The start position used in the calculation references the initiator's starting position after being moved by sources of unit movement such as Reposition Gait.
- 【Canto (Dist.; Max 3, Min 1)】 also takes into account status effects that alter a unit's movement value such as Mobility increased, Gallop, Stall, and Gravity.
- 【Canto (Dist.; Max 3, Min 1)】 will have the distance value be reduced to 1 if the unit was inflicted with Stall or Gravity and did not warp or move through a space occupied by a unit with 【Pathfinder】.
- The distance value for 【Canto (Dist.; Max 3, Min 1)】 will not be affected if the unit was inflicted with Stall or Gravity after combat.
- Future-Focused+ applies the Time's Grip status effect.
- Any 【Penalty】 effect on a unit lasts until that unit takes an action. If the unit takes multiple actions in a turn, they will only have Time's Grip for their first action.
- The Atk/Spd/Def/Res-4 that can be applied during combat by Time's Grip is considered a temporary debuff.
- The ally combat effect neutralization of Time's Grip only activates during combat involving the unit's allies. It has no effect if the unit's allies are neither the attacker nor the defender of the combat.
- The ally combat effect neutralization of Time's Grip does neutralize after combat effects such as the HP recovery prevention effect Noble Bow and Blood & Thunder.
- The ally combat effect neutralization of Time's Grip does not prevent 【Savior】 from being triggered, because 【Savior】 is not a during combat effect.
- The ally combat effect neutralization of Time's Grip does not neutralize effects granted to support partners during combat such as Renewed Fang and Dragon Blast.
- Future-Focused+ applies the Panic status effect.
- Any 【Penalty】 effect on a unit lasts until that unit takes an action. If the unit takes multiple actions in a turn, they will only have Panic for their first action.
- Panic does not convert Bonuses into Penalties, it changes the value of existing Bonuses from positive to negative.
- If the affected unit does not have Bonuses or the affected unit has Null Panic, Panic has no effect, but can still be used to trigger effects that require a 【Penalty】 effect such as Atk/Spd Catch 4 or Paranoia.
- The stat boost that can be applied during combat by Future-Focused+ is considered a temporary buff.
- Future-Focused+ can neutralize Penalties during combat.
- Penalties are neutralized by granting temporary buffs of the same amount during combat.
- Temporary buffs from Future-Focused+ do not stack with temporary buffs from effects such as Grand Strategy and Atk/Spd Unity, only temporary buffs from Future-Focused+ will apply.
- The flat damage-reduction effect is a flat -7 damage that is calculated after offensive Specials, damage boosting effects such as Arcane Lúin and Dominance, and "reduces damage by X%" effects such as Gust and Dodge.
- If a skill such as Miracle or Everliving Domain can trigger, the damage-reduction effect will not trigger and the user will still survive with only 1 HP.
- Umbra Burst weapons will always deal a minimum of 1 damage even if the foe is equipped with Invincible Sister, Vengeful God, Invincibility Seals, or damage reduction effects.
- Flat damage-reduction effects stack additively, similar to damage boosting effects and interactions related to the weapon-triangle, such as Triangle Adept and the weapon-triangle advantage boost.
- Flat damage-reduction effects cannot be neutralized or reduced only during combat by effects such as Share Spoils+ or Halves non-Special damage reduction.
- For more information, see Damage calculation.
- The temporary buffs, penalty neutralization and damage reduction effects of Future-Focused+ will not apply to the user's allies if the user is inflicted with Time's Grip, the user's allies are inflicted with Feud, or the user's allies are in combat against a foe with skills such as Impenetrable Void and C Feud 3.
- The damage boosting effect is a flat +7 damage that ignores the foe's Def or Res when calculating the damage boost, and can be reduced by damage reduction effects such as Gust, Atk/Spd Excel, and Dodge.
- Damage boosting effects stack additively, similar to flat damage-reduction effects and interactions related to the weapon-triangle, such as Triangle Adept and the weapon-triangle advantage boost.
- A foe equipped with Invincibility Seals will neutralize all sources of damage except from Røkkr area-of-effect Specials and the minimum 1 damage from Umbra Burst weapons.
- A foe equipped with Invincible Sister will neutralize all sources of damage during combat except for the minimum 1 damage from Umbra Burst weapons only once per Phase after it triggers.
- A foe equipped with Vengeful God will neutralize all sources of damage during combat except for the minimum 1 damage from Umbra Burst weapons only once per Phase after Miracle triggers if that foe's HP ≥ 25% at start of combat.
- For more information, see Damage calculation.
- Future-Focused+ will reduce the effect of non-Special "reduces damage by X%" effects from Specials such as Vital Astra.
- Damage-reduction reducing effects stack multiplicatively, unlike interactions related to the weapon-triangle, such as Triangle Adept and the weapon-triangle advantage boost.
- For example, if a unit has Halves non-Special damage reduction and a foe with Dodge is on a space with 【Divine Vein (Water)】, the maximum total damage-reduction is reduced to 10%, since the two effects reduce the damage to (1 − ((40% − 50%) − 50%)) = 90% of the original damage instead of 60% of the original damage.
- Each damage-reduction effect is reduced individually.
- For example, if a unit has Halves non-Special damage reduction and the foe has both Spurn 4 and Dodge, the maximum total damage-reduction is reduced to 40%, since the two effects reduce the damage to (1 − (50% − 50%)) × (1 − (40% − 50%)) = 60% of the original damage instead of 30% of the original damage.
- Future-Focused+ will not reduce the effect of Special "reduces damage by X%" effects or flat damage-reduction effects such as Ice Wall or Laguz Loyalty.
- For more information, see Damage calculation.
- Damage-reduction reducing effects stack multiplicatively, unlike interactions related to the weapon-triangle, such as Triangle Adept and the weapon-triangle advantage boost.
