{{Quote|Now it's our turn to support the Heroes that are always fighting for us!}} [[File:Frontline Phalanx Battle.png|250px|thumb|Help the Heroes to repel the invader!]] Frontline Phalanx is a special event introduced in {{Version|4.9}}. It was first presented during in [[Feh Channel|Feh Channel (Aug 13, 2020)]]. Frontline Phalanx is an event in which summoners send their support to Heroes in other worlds struggling against the odds. Provides support to the four armies to repel the invaders! ==Basics== [[File:Guide Frontline Phalanx boost.jpg|x250px|thumb]] Frontline Phalanx event consists exclusively into sending [[File:Icon Reinforce.webp|x20px|link=]] support forces to one of the four armies. Players can get score based on the number of [[File:Icon Reinforce.webp|x20px|link=]] support forces sent to a given army and the multiplier of that army at the end of the battle. Every battle lasts an hour. Any number of [[File:Icon Reinforce.webp|x20px|link=]] support forces can be sent to any of the armies at the same time, but once [[File:Icon Reinforce.webp|x20px|link=]] support forces have been deployed to an army, is not possible to sent them any more before the next battle. Each army has a probability of winning and multiplier which lie between their minimals and maximals. Given the basic probability of an army, it is possible to calculate the second probabilitiy and both multipliers. The lowest probability <math alt="LowProba">\mathit{LowProba}</math> is calculated as <math alt="LowProba = 1.5 × BasicProba - 75">\mathit{LowProba} = 1.5 \times \mathit{BasicProba} - 75</math>, while the multipliers <math alt="MinMult">\mathit{MinMult}</math> and <math alt="MaxMult">\mathit{MaxMult}</math> are calculated as <math alt="MinMult = 13.75 - BasicProba / 8">\mathit{MinMult} = 13.75 - \frac{\mathit{BasicProba}}{8}</math> and <math alt="MaxMult = 2 + 1.2 × MinMult">\mathit{MaxMult} = 2 + 1.2 \times \mathit{MinMult}</math>. <!-- TODO: Find the actual new proba and rate based on support --> The actual probability of winning and multiplier depend on the total amount of support an army gather during a battle. The higher total number of [[File:Icon Reinforce.webp|x20px|link=]] support forces are send to an army, the higher will be the multiplier, but the lower will be the probability. The rate of support for the last 3 hours can be found when going to Support Intel → Total Support. A simplified formula for the winning probability is <math alt="WinProba = BasicProba - TotalSupport / 5">\mathit{WinProba} = \mathit{BasicProba} - \frac{\mathit{TotalSupport}}{5}</math>. The associated multiplier can be retrieved using the above formula for <math alt="MinMult">\mathit{MinMult}</math>. The score a player will obtains at the end of a battle depends on several factor. It is initially defined as: :<math alt="Score = trunc(100 × SupportSent × ArmyMult">\mathit{Score} = \lfloor 100 \times \mathit{SupportSent} \times \mathit{ArmyMult} \rfloor</math> Moreover: * In case of Defeat, <math alt="ArmyMult">\mathit{ArmyMult}</math> is reinitialized at 1. *: This can be avoided by using a {{It|Guardian Shield}} on that army. * A Victory may be transformed into a Triumph, adding an additional 2.0x multiplier. ** Likely, a Defeat may be transformed into a Total Loss, adding a 0.5x multiplier. * Using a {{It|Guardian Shield}} will also add an additional 1.2x multiplier. * The activation of ''Skjaldborg'' will results in the addition of another 1.2x multiplier. A player can use a {{It|Guardian Shield}} to secure its forces. Not only will this add a 1.2x multiplier to the player's score, it will also disable the reset of the army's multiplier in case of Defeat or Total Loss. Note that this does '''not''' neutralize the 0.5x multiplier in case of Total Loss. These effects apply only for the players using a {{It|Guardian Shield}}, and will not change the output of the battle.<br>However, if enough players use a {{It|Guardian Shield}} on the same army during the same battle, '''Skjaldborg''' will be activated. In that case, the army is guarantee to end the battle with a Victory or a Triumph, in addition to the 1.2x multuplier. ==Strategy & Tips== Since this game mode is nothing but gambles, there is no such things as a winning strategy. However, there are some tips which should be followed in order to score as high as possible. # Do not use a {{It|Guardian Shield}} on an army where ''Skjaldborg'' is already active. Even if this would add an additional 1.2x multiplier to the score, it is better to use it on a battle which would be lost. #* The activation of ''Skjaldborg'' can be known by looking at the Shield icon on the army banner. There are 4 possibles states: fill at 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 and complete. If it is complete, that means ''Skjaldborg'' will be activated. # Restrict the usage of a {{It|Guardian Shield}} to an army with a very high multiplier, i.e. a final multiplier of 9.9x. #* The army with the highest bonus / lowest probability is likely to have its basic multiplier increased by 1 or even more. #* The other armies multiplier will typically increase by approximately 0.5. #* Keep in mind that a Frontline Phalanx event is typically active 6-10 days. It may be tempting to use a {{It|Guardian Shield}} on an army with a final 7.5x multiplier, but a better opportunity is bound to appeared later. # Avoid sending every [[File:Icon Reinforce.webp|x20px|link=]] support forces to the same army. It is more profitable to send a few to every armies, securing a minimum of points, rather than all to the same, and risking a big loss. #* However, if a {{It|Guardian Shield}} is planned to be used, it is more interesting to send them all on the same army. # The advices of the trio of the Order of Heroes follows a certain pattern. #* {{Ut|Alfonse: Prince of Askr}} will always advise the army with the highest probability of victory. #* {{Ut|Anna: Commander}} will always recommend the army with the highest multiplier. #* {{Ut|Sharena: Princess of Askr}} will pick any team, without any particular reason. ==Rewards== ===Daily rewards=== Daily rewards can be claimed by deploying at least one [[File:Icon Reinforce.webp|x20px|link=]] support forces each day. If the event is over before the fifth day, the remaining rewards are send to players who claimed every available daily rewards. {| class="wikitable default" style="text-align: center;" !Day !Reward |- |1/5 |{{Rt|1={kind=Orb;count=4} }} |- |2/5 |{{Rt|1={kind=Orb;count=3} }} |- |3/5 |{{Rt|1=[{kind=Dragonflower (I);count=50};{kind=Dragonflower (A);count=50};{kind=Dragonflower (C);count=50};{kind=Dragonflower (F);count=50}]|or=1}} |- |4/5 |{{Rt|1={kind=Refining Stone;count=5} }} |- |5/5 |{{Rt|1={kind=Sacred Coin;count=5} }} |} ===Boss rewards=== Boss rewards are obtain when each boss is defeated.
