Mila	In my home of Valentia, I bestowed the land of Zofia with great harvests. Their bounty afforded the people lives of abundance, and the land was free from death and disease... But a land full of life is not all their plenty allowed them.

Mila	Abundant crops were commonplace and seemed only natural to them. The people grew soft in the luxury I provided. They began hoarding resources and wealth, and they forgot the virtue of being considerate of others... Gradually, they fell to ruin.
Then it is as I say. Gods should not interfere in the lives of mortals. Believing the powers of the gods to be theirs by right, the mortal world is always bound for strife. The tragedy you witnessed was the natural result of people mistaking the harvest as their own work.		Edelgard
Mila	Perhaps. But it is also true that many lives were saved and improved by the harvests I granted. Not everyone has your strength.
The strong should lead those who have not the strength. A strong leader is preferable to living or dying for your devotion to a god... Entrusting your very existence to the whims of a being entirely unlike yourself is not a natural state.		Edelgard
Mila	People create their own histories. I believe the same applies to me. In this world, I am limited in the power I can bestow on Heroes. Those Heroes give all they have and still struggle to realize their desires... During such struggle, I believe it is my responsibility to grant them what miracles I can.
And if a Hero chooses not to struggle, what then? What of those who do not put forth any effort?		Edelgard
Mila	I have yet to meet any called Hero who do not struggle against the tide of their fate. Everyone here is possessed of a soul capable to giving of themselves more than they ask. You are one such Hero, are you not?

Mila	Heroes take on what trials they face without assurance of miracles. They are driven by what lies in the core of their being. What I see there is what draws me to aid them.
