- Flowery Scroll's extra attack is not a follow-up attack nor a change in attack priority.
- Effects such as
Foe Cannot Follow-Up and Hardy Bearing 3 do not affect the extra attack. - If Flowery Scroll's user can perform a standard follow-up attack, either by passing the Spd difference check or effects such as Guaranteed Follow-Ups or Quick Riposte 4, the user will be able to attack up to 4 times during combat.
- Flowery Scroll's extra attack does not affect the additional follow-up granted by Potent Follow effects.
- A foe with effects such as Phys. Null Follow or Null Follow-Up will neutralize any effect on Flowery Scroll's user that guarantees follow-up attacks.
- Effects such as
- "If foe initiates combat" means if a foe triggers combat during the enemy phase. The unit being initiated upon does not need to deal damage, nor be able to counterattack.
- However, if the effect is applied after combat, the unit being initiated upon must also survive it to fulfill this condition.
- Flowery Scroll does not grant the user the ability to counterattack regardless of foe's range.
- If the user can counterattack, either from using a weapon with the same range as the foe's weapon or from countering skills, the user's counterattack will occur before the foe's initial attack.
- Flowery Scroll changes the priority, or order of attacks, and therefore can be neutralized by effects such as Hardy Bearing 3 or Armorpin Dagger+.
