Icon Name Description
Flash of Steel Flash of Steel If captain initiates combat, captain can make a follow-up attack before foe can counterattack. Grants the following to captain and allies within 2 spaces of captain during combat: "neutralizes effects that grant 'Special cooldown charge +X' to foe or inflict 'Special cooldown charge -X' on unit."

Notes[ | ]

  • "If unit initiates combat" means if the user starts combat during the player phase. The unit does not need to deal damage, nor be the first to attack.
    • However, if the effect is applied after combat, the unit must also survive it to fulfill this condition.
  • Flash of Steel does not guarantee the user a follow-up.
  • If the user can perform a follow-up, either by passing the Spd difference check or from guaranteed follow-up effects, the initial attack and follow-up will occur before the foe can perform a counterattack.
  • Effects such as Status Effect Vantage Vantage or Status Effect Paranoia Paranoia have priority over Flash of Steel's priority changing effect.
  • Flash of Steel changes the priority, or order of attacks, and therefore can be neutralized by effects such as Hardy Bearing 3 Hardy Bearing 3 or Skilliconweapon Caltrop Dagger+.
  • Flash of Steel will neutralize the "Special cooldown charge +X" effect on foes from effects such as Heavy Blade 4 Heavy Blade 4, Status Effect Special Cooldown Charge 1 Special Cooldown Charge +1, or the Grand Conquests Icon Move Infantry Infantry area effect.
    • Since the "Special cooldown charge +X" effect will be neutralized on foes, Flash of Steel will also stack with the "Special cooldown charge -X" effect inflicted on the foe from effects such as Icon Class Red Sword Guard Sword+, Status Effect Guard Guard, or 【Divine Vein (Green)】, unless the foe is equipped with skills that neutralize the "Special cooldown charge -X" effect on unit.
  • Flash of Steel will neutralize the "Special cooldown charge -X" effect on unit from effects such as Icon Class Red Sword Guard Sword+, Status Effect Guard Guard, or 【Divine Vein (Green)】.
    • Since the "Special cooldown charge -X" effect will be neutralized on unit, Flash of Steel will also stack with the "Special cooldown charge +X" effect on unit from effects such as Heavy Blade 4 Heavy Blade 4, Status Effect Special Cooldown Charge 1 Special Cooldown Charge +1, or the Grand Conquests Icon Move Infantry Infantry area effect, unless the foe is equipped with skills that neutralize the "Special cooldown charge +X" effect on unit.
  • The effect of Flash of Steel will not apply to the user's allies if the user is inflicted with Status Effect Times Grip Time's Grip, the user's allies are inflicted with Status Effect Feud Feud, or the user's allies are in combat against a foe with skills such as Impenetrable Void Impenetrable Void and C Feud 3 C Feud 3.
