Brave Robin

The armored Robin can choose to focus on Player Phase with the Bold Fighter 3 Bold Fighter 3 skill, guaranteeing doubles (or quads, with brave) with his high base attack. This build has two variations:
  • The first option is the actual Icon Class Blue Lance Brave Lance+ build. Since it lowers speed, Robin should take a +atk/-spd nature, becoming a terrifying melee nuker with his guaranteed quads, and very high physical bulk. However, he's more vulnerable to being doubled on Enemy Phase, due to lowering speed.
  • The second option is an offensive Icon Class Blue Lance Slaying Lance+ build, using the special cooldown reduction to proc specials more often, while retaining a good speed value to avoid being doubled. In this case, his nature should be +atk/-HP, and the weapon should be refined with speed.

The rest of his kit works to further improve Robin's capacity to punch through tanky enemies. Death Blow 3 Death Blow 3 and Attack Plus 3 Attack +3 improve his attack further, while Skilliconspecial Ignis or Skilliconspecial Aether serve to finish off stronger enemies that take little damage from his regular attacks, Aether also serving to heal him after taking a hit.

In terms of assist and C skill, Robin should take what best benefits his team. Both movement assists help him move with his armored pals, while the C can be an armor buff, or Armor March 3 Armor March 3 if the team is in need of it, considering he needs the extra movement range to be able to engage on enemies better.

Unfortunate -Speed Counter
Click to show/hide build description
A build devised to make up for an unfortunate Speed bane. Before the Brazen Boost Robin will sit comfortable speeds which are boosted to blistering levels when in the Brazen Range. If Robin is also in the Vantage range when attacked could result in a devastating Aether-enhanced attack, contributing to not only his longevity in battle but his potency in fighting any unit who is not wielding a Hammer. Heavy Blade 3 Sacred seal is used to take advantage of his naturally high attack stat and to keep the specials going. Some may opt to take Ignis for it's raw power since Aether will have robin bouncing in and out of the brazen atk/spd range but Aether is a great option to keep Robin in the fight, especially in long encounters such as Tempest Trials.

Folt99 (talk) 20:17, 7 April 2019 (UTC) With the addition of Special Fighter, Robin can turn his impressive speed for an armor for a build that very few armors are capable of doing, ensuring as many double attacks as possible while activating his special for every second attack.

Spd is the boon of choice, with Res being the preferred bane if possible. Special Fighter is the crux of the build, allowing Robin to accelerate the speed of which his Special activates while simultaneously slowing down the opponent's special. Slaying Lance+ refined for more Speed allows for Aether to activate every second attack (or every third attack, if Robin's foe can't retaliate) which will allow Robin to sustain himself and keep Special Fighter active for longer. Alternatively, if sustain is not an issue, Harmonic Lance+ alongside Ignis will unleash an atomic nuke of an attack when activated that few will survive.

Distant Counter allows Robin to counterattack anyone without Sweep skills or Dazzling Staff while his base Brazen Atk/Spd is a good alternative if you're unwilling to invest (or using the Harmonic Lance+/Ignis variation). C and Seal Slot skills are flexible as well, Armor-only skills like Armor March 3 or Goad/Ward Armor are good picks, as are Quick Riposte 3 or Darting Stance if you can spare the Seal. You could also pick the Close/Distant Defense seals for more bulk, or a seal to support your teammates such as Breath of Life or a Smoke skill.
