Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light is the first game in the Fire Emblem series. It is currently listed second in the Catalog of Heroes and when sorting heroes by Origin, between Icon MiniUnit Head 0 Heroes and Icon MiniUnit Head 2 Echoes, with characters from Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem and Fire Emblem: New Mystery of the Emblem mixed in. Most of the characters from this game are listed as appearing in its remake Fire Emblem: New Mystery of the Emblem, however the characters listed here were omitted from the remake.

The world of Icon MiniUnit Head 1 Shadow Dragon / (New) Mystery is referred to as "World of Mystery".
