Lewyn	I have. And they certainly need the help. This world seems to suffer one misfortune after another. It is an intense place to be, no doubt, for a feckless minstrel such as myself.
Still calling yourself that? I dare say this would be entirely too much for a feckless minstrel to bear.		Annand
Lewyn	Annand... I have had a lot of time to think of what I would say if we were to meet again. I owe you an apology. When the storm came to Silesse... I failed to protect you. You and my mother both.

Lewyn	I can never hope to make up for the harm I caused by evading my responsibility. I know that. I knew what needed to be done, and...I lacked the strength to do it. For whatever it's worth, I'm sorry.

Anna	So, Annand. Gotten used to life here in Askr yet?
Thanks to you, the transition has been pleasant and smooth. I have had the comfort of familiar faces. My duties, and even my training regimen, are also quite similar to what they were in Silesse. I suppose the notion of wielding a sword to defend one's home is similar anywhere.		Annand
Anna	I admire your dedication. Some Heroes start ditching their training near as soon as they arrive. They could stand to follow your example. At the same time...it might do you some good to think of your life in Askr as a bit of a fresh start.

Anna	Heroes are called here to defend Askr, sure, but there's more to life than just that. Living here affords our Heroes all kinds of new opportunities. You could consider branching out a bit.
I could not possibly lower my guard, knowing what dangers we face...		Annand
Anna	Yeah, see. That's exactly the attitude I think we should work on. You're a Hero, Annand, but you're also a person. Still a young one too! Get out there and live your life!

Anna	What good is fighting for peace and freedom if we don't stop to enjoy it once in a while, right? Take this opportunity to get involved with something that isn't just fighting.

Ah... I still have much to learn, but it has kept me occupied in the lulls between training and duty.		Annand
Anna	Is that some of your work, there? Let me see. Oooh, you're good! That's way better than I could do.
I had not thought to try anything like this before, but...I admit, it's come rather naturally to me. My hands seem to work instinctively. My concentration has improved as well. It may even help me in battle.		Annand
Forrest	Sometimes a shawl is just a shawl, you know. It doesn't always need to be about battle.
Of course. You're right. My mind has a way of wandering to combat.		Annand
Anna	That makes sense. Hey, big changes like this are hard.
You also went out to forage for mushrooms with Frederick yesterday, didn't you? And the day before that, I heard you were out dancing with Rinea.		Forrest
Annand	Indeed. The Heroes have been very kind about including me in their various pursuits. All of these endeavors have been so new to me. But they have certainly enriched my life of late.
Obviously, fighting for peace in Askr is a high priority. But so is expanding your horizons! We still have some time before training, so let's finish this shawl. It's for your sister, right?		Forrest

Of course. Hm... What’s that you’ve got there?		Lewyn
Annand	It’s, ah...a gift. For you.
A headscarf... It’s beautiful, Annand. Did you make this yourself?		Lewyn
Annand	I did indeed. I am still new to knitting, but I gave it my all.
It’s very well made. A lovely gift that I’m all too glad to accept.		Lewyn
Annand	Your kind words make it well worth the effort.
Is it me, or are you working even harder lately than you used to? Yet somehow you seem even more at peace. Dare I say, you seem happy.		Lewyn
Annand	Until recently, I’d spent every waking moment fighting, and training to fight, as a knight of Silesse. For a long while, that was all I knew. Since arriving in Askr, however, I have discovered a life that exists just as much off the battlefield as on it.
It’s a good change.		Lewyn
Annand	This may sound trifling, but I realize now that this ordinary life is a part of what we fight to protect. Spending time outside of battle has helped contextualize that for me.
To have an everyday routine, to see the days go by without the disruption of bitter conflict... That is indeed the prize. I think the crusaders of legend risked their lives fighting for exactly that.		Lewyn
Annand	I feel the same way. Had I stayed in Jugdral, however... I believe I would have been a knight and nothing more.

Annand	Now, in Askr, my life is full of all manner of opportunities. I only hope that I will be able to open myself up to them.
