Effective against flying foes.

At start of player phase or enemy phase, grants the following effects to unit and allies within 2 spaces of unit for 1 turn: Res+6, 【Bonus Doubler】, and "reduces the percentage of foe's non-Special 'reduce damage by X%' skills by 50% during combat (excluding area-of-effect Specials)."

After start-of-turn effects trigger on enemy phase, for unit and allies within 2 spaces of unit, converts penalties into bonuses and neutralizes two【Penalty】effects (does not apply to Penalty effects that are applied at the same time; neutralizes the first applicable Penalty effects on unit's list of active effects).

If unit initiates combat or is within 2 spaces of an ally, grants bonus to unit's Atk/Spd/Def/Res = number of allies within 3 rows or 3 columns centered on unit × 3, + 5 (max 14), deals damage = 20% of unit's Res (excluding area-of-effect Specials), unit makes a guaranteed follow-up attack, and grants Special cooldown count-1 to unit before unit's first attack during combat.

【Bonus Doubler】

All effects that last "on foe through its next action." Includes penalties inflicted by a skill like Panic or Threaten and negative status effects (preventing counterattacks, restricting movement, or the effects of a skill like Triangle Adept or Guard).

Notes[ | ]

  • The stat increase that can be applied by Dusk Rifle is considered a Status Effect Bonus Bonus.
    • Any 【Bonus】 on a unit, including Status Effect Bonus Bonuses, lasts until the start of that unit's next phase. If Status Effect Bonus Bonuses are acquired during the enemy phase, they will disappear when the next player phase begins.
  • Dusk Rifle applies the Status Effect Bonus Doubler Bonus Doubler status effect.
    • Any 【Bonus】 on a unit lasts until the start of that unit's next phase. If Status Effect Bonus Doubler Bonus Doubler is acquired during the enemy phase, it will disappear when the next player phase begins.
  • The stat increase that can be applied by Dusk Rifle is considered a Status Effect Bonus Bonus.
    • Any 【Bonus】 on a unit, including Status Effect Bonus Bonuses, lasts until the start of that unit's next phase. If Status Effect Bonus Bonuses are acquired during the enemy phase, they will disappear when the next player phase begins.
  • Dusk Rifle can remove Status Effect Penalty Penalties.
    • Previous Status Effect Bonus Bonuses and Status Effect Penalty Penalties reversed with Dusk Rifle do not stack. Only the greater bonus will take effect.
      • For example, if a unit receives +6 bonuses from Skilliconassist Rally Def/Res+ and -7 penalties from Def Res Ploy 3 Def/Res Ploy 3, Dusk Rifle converts the -7 penalties into +7 bonuses overwriting the +6 bonuses.
      • If the unit had received -5 penalties from Chill Def Res 2 Chill Def/Res 2 instead, the converted +5 bonuses from Dusk Rifle wouldn't overwrite the +6 bonuses from Skilliconassist Rally Def/Res+.
    • Negative Status Effect Bonus Bonuses (such as from Status Effect Panic Panic) are not reversed by Dusk Rifle.
      • Moreover, bonuses granted by this skill will be reversed by Status Effect Panic Panic, making this skill useless against units affected by it unless they are also affected by Status Effect Null Panic Null Panic.
  • Dusk Rifle can remove the unit's and allies' Status Effect Penalty Penalties & 1st 2 【Penalty】 effects.
    • Any 【Penalty】 effects that can be removed at the time that the removal takes place are removed with the following priority:

  • "If unit initiates combat" means if the user starts combat during the player phase. The unit does not need to deal damage, nor be the first to attack.
    • However, if the effect is applied after combat, the unit must also survive it to fulfill this condition.
  • The stat increase that can be applied by Dusk Rifle is considered a temporary buff.
  • Dusk Rifle's Special cooldown count that occurs during combat is a flat 1 and is not affected by effects related to Special cooldown charge such as Status Effect Guard Guard, Status Effect Special Cooldown Charge 1 Special Cooldown Charge +1, and Spd Def Tempo 4 Spd/Def Tempo 4.
    • All flat cooldown count increases and/or reductions during combat will stack with each other if they trigger at the same time.
      • For example, if a unit has Status Effect Preempt Pulse Preempt Pulse and Status Effect Hush Spectrum Hush Spectrum, the effects will stack and the unit's cooldown count will neither increase nor decrease.
