- Sources of Flying effectiveness neutralization:
- The stat increase that can be applied by Dusk Rifle is considered a Bonus.
- Dusk Rifle applies the Bonus Doubler status effect.
- Any 【Bonus】 on a unit lasts until the start of that unit's next phase. If Bonus Doubler is acquired during the enemy phase, it will disappear when the next player phase begins.
- The stat increase that can be applied by Bonus Doubler is considered a temporary buff.
- The stat increasing effect of Bonus Doubler will activate if the unit receives Bonuses.
- The stat increasing effect will not be negated nor reduced if the unit receives Penalties.
- The stat increasing effect of Bonus Doubler will stack with the temporary debuffs from Neutralize Bonuses or sources of bonus neutralization.
- The stat increasing effect will be negated if the unit is affected by Panic (and not affected by Null Panic), Ploy, or the unit has their Bonuses removed by a source of positive status effect neutralization.
- Dusk Rifle applies the Halves non-Special damage reduction status effect.
- Any 【Bonus】 on a unit lasts until the start of that unit's next phase. If Halves non-Special damage reduction is acquired during the enemy phase, it will disappear when the next player phase begins.
- Halves non-Special damage reduction will reduce the effect of non-Special "reduces damage by X%" effects from Specials such as Vital Astra.
- Damage-reduction reducing effects stack multiplicatively, unlike interactions related to the weapon-triangle, such as Triangle Adept and the weapon-triangle advantage boost.
- For example, if a unit has Halves non-Special damage reduction and a foe with Dodge is on a space with 【Divine Vein (Water)】, the maximum total damage-reduction is reduced to 10%, since the two effects reduce the damage to (1 − ((40% − 50%) − 50%)) = 90% of the original damage instead of 60% of the original damage.
- Each damage-reduction effect is reduced individually.
- For example, if a unit has Halves non-Special damage reduction and the foe has both Spurn 4 and Dodge, the maximum total damage-reduction is reduced to 40%, since the two effects reduce the damage to (1 − (50% − 50%)) × (1 − (40% − 50%)) = 60% of the original damage instead of 30% of the original damage.
- Halves non-Special damage reduction will not reduce the effect of Special "reduces damage by X%" effects such as Gust or Laguz Friend 4.

- Previous Bonuses and Penalties reversed with Dusk Rifle do not stack. Only the greater bonus will take effect.
- For example, if a unit receives +6 bonuses from Rally Def/Res+ and -7 penalties from Def/Res Ploy 3, Dusk Rifle converts the -7 penalties into +7 bonuses overwriting the +6 bonuses.
- If the unit had received -5 penalties from Chill Def/Res 2 instead, the converted +5 bonuses from Dusk Rifle wouldn't overwrite the +6 bonuses from Rally Def/Res+.
- Negative Bonuses (such as from Panic) are not reversed by Dusk Rifle.
- Moreover, bonuses granted by this skill will be reversed by Panic, making this skill useless against units affected by it unless they are also affected by Null Panic.
- Previous Bonuses and Penalties reversed with Dusk Rifle do not stack. Only the greater bonus will take effect.
- Dusk Rifle can remove the unit's and allies' Penalties & 1st 2 【Penalty】 effects.
- Any 【Penalty】 effects that can be removed at the time that the removal takes place are removed with the following priority:

- "If unit initiates combat" means if the user starts combat during the player phase. The unit does not need to deal damage, nor be the first to attack.
- However, if the effect is applied after combat, the unit must also survive it to fulfill this condition.
- The stat increase that can be applied by Dusk Rifle is considered a temporary buff.
- The damage boosting effect of Dusk Rifle ignores the foe's Def or Res when calculating the damage boost, and can be reduced by damage-reduction effects such as Gust, Atk/Spd Excel, and Dodge.
- A foe equipped with Embla's Ward, Múspellflame, Niðavellir Axiom, Gold Perfection, or Nine-Realm Pact will neutralize all sources of damage except from Røkkr area-of-effect Specials and the minimum 1 damage from Umbra Burst weapons.

- As a general rule, if a unit is both prevented from making, and guaranteed to make a follow-up attack, the effects cancel out, and the Spd difference decides instead (including effects that alter the Spd difference such as Frozen).
- A foe with effects such as Phys. Null Follow or Null Follow-Up will neutralize the guaranteed follow-up attack granted by Guaranteed Follow-Ups.
- Dusk Rifle's Special cooldown count that occurs during combat is a flat 1 and is not affected by effects related to Special cooldown charge such as Guard, Special Cooldown Charge +1, and Spd/Def Tempo 4.
- All flat cooldown count increases and/or reductions during combat will stack with each other if they trigger at the same time.
- For example, if a unit has Preempt Pulse and Hush Spectrum, the effects will stack and the unit's cooldown count will neither increase nor decrease.
