Description [Collapse] |
Accelerates Special trigger (cooldown count-1). At start of player phase or enemy phase, inflicts Atk/Def-7 and【Sabotage】on foes within 3 rows or 3 columns centered on unit through their next actions. At start of combat, if unit's HP ≥ 25%, deals 8 damage to foe as combat begins (only highest value applied; does not stack with other "deals X damage as combat begins" effects; effects that reduce damage "during combat" do not apply; will not reduce foe's HP below 1). At start of combat, if unit's HP ≥ 25%, inflicts Atk/Def-X on foe (X = 20% of unit's Def at start of combat + 6), reduces the percentage of foe's non-Special "reduce damage by X%" skills by 50% (excluding area-of-effect Specials), deals damage = 30% of foe's max HP (excluding area-of-effect Specials), and reduces damage from foe's attacks by Y, and also, if foe's attack triggers foe's Special, reduces damage by an additional Y (Y = total damage dealt to foe; max 20; excluding area-of-effect Specials). At start of turn, if unit is adjacent to only beast or dragon allies or if unit is not adjacent to any ally, unit transforms (otherwise, unit reverts). If unit transforms, grants Atk+2 and unit can counterattack regardless of foe's range. |

Calculates each stat penalty independently. |

Notes[ | ]
- The stat decrease that can be applied by Dosing Fang is considered a Penalty.
- Any 【Penalty】 on a unit lasts until that unit takes an action. If the unit takes multiple actions in a turn, they will only have Penalties for their first action.
- If the unit also has Grand Strategy, any Penalties will remain active until the start of that unit's next phase.
- Any 【Penalty】 on a unit lasts until that unit takes an action. If the unit takes multiple actions in a turn, they will only have Penalties for their first action.
- Dosing Fang applies the Sabotage status effect.
- Any 【Penalty】 on a unit lasts until that unit takes an action. If the unit takes multiple actions in a turn, they will only have Sabotage for their first action.
- The stat decrease that can be applied by Sabotage is considered a temporary debuff.
- The stat decreasing effect of Sabotage will activate if the affected unit or it's allies within 2 spaces receive Penalties.
- The stat decreasing effect will not be negated nor reduced if the affected unit or it's allies within 2 spaces receive Bonuses.
- If the affected unit or it's allies within 2 spaces are affected by Panic (and not affected by Null Panic), Sabotage will utilize the total Penalty within each stat during calculation.[1]
- The stat decreasing effect of Sabotage will stack with the temporary buffs from Neutralize Penalties or sources of penalty neutralization.
- The stat decreasing effect will be negated if the affected unit or it's allies within 2 spaces have their Penalties removed by a source of negative status effect neutralization.
- Any 【Penalty】 on a unit lasts until that unit takes an action. If the unit takes multiple actions in a turn, they will only have Sabotage for their first action.
- The damage dealt as combat begins is a fixed +8 that ignores the foe's Def or Res, and cannot be reduced by damage-reduction effects such as Gust, Atk/Spd Excel, and Dodge.
- The damage dealt as combat begins cannot reduce a unit's HP to 0.
- Dosing Fang does not stack with other damage dealt as combat begins effects. If the unit's total damage dealt as combat begins from other effects is higher, the damage dealt as combat begins effect of Dosing Fang will not trigger.
- The damage dealt as combat begins will still trigger if the unit is prevented from counterattacking.
- Units with effects such as Breath of Life 4 or Divine Nectar will recover HP after damage dealt as combat begins.
- A foe equipped with Embla's Ward, Múspellflame, Niðavellir Axiom, File:Nine-Realm Pact.png Nine-Realm Pact, or Gold Perfection will neutralize all sources of damage as combat begins except the minimum 1 damage from Umbra Burst weapons.
- For more information, see Damage calculation.
- The stat decrease that can be applied by Dosing Fang is considered a temporary debuff.
- Dosing Fang will reduce the effect of non-Special "reduces damage by X%" effects from Specials such as Vital Astra.
- Damage-reduction reducing effects stack multiplicatively, unlike interactions related to the weapon-triangle, such as Triangle Adept and the weapon-triangle advantage boost.
- For example, if a unit has Halves non-Special damage reduction and a foe with Dodge is on a space with 【Divine Vein (Water)】, the maximum total damage-reduction is reduced to 10%, since the two effects reduce the damage to (1 − ((40% − 50%) − 50%)) = 90% of the original damage instead of 60% of the original damage.
- Each damage-reduction effect is reduced individually.
- For example, if a unit has Halves non-Special damage reduction and the foe has both Spurn 4 and Dodge, the maximum total damage-reduction is reduced to 40%, since the two effects reduce the damage to (1 − (50% − 50%)) × (1 − (40% − 50%)) = 60% of the original damage instead of 30% of the original damage.
- Dosing Fang will not reduce the effect of Special "reduces damage by X%" effects such as Gust or Laguz Friend 4.
- For more information, see Damage calculation.
- Damage-reduction reducing effects stack multiplicatively, unlike interactions related to the weapon-triangle, such as Triangle Adept and the weapon-triangle advantage boost.
- The damage boosting effect of Dosing Fang ignores the foe's Def or Res when calculating the damage boost, and can be reduced by damage-reduction effects such as Gust, Atk/Spd Excel, and Dodge.
- A foe equipped with Embla's Ward, Múspellflame, Niðavellir Axiom, File:Nine-Realm Pact.png Nine-Realm Pact, or Gold Perfection will neutralize all sources of damage during combat except the minimum 1 damage from Umbra Burst weapons.
- For more information, see Damage calculation.
- The damage-reduction effect is calculated after offensive Specials, damage boosting effects such as Arcane Lúin and Dominance, and "reduces damage by X%" effects such as Gust and Dodge.
- If a skill such as Miracle or Everliving Domain can trigger, the damage-reduction effect will not trigger and the user will still survive with only 1 HP.
- Flat damage-reduction effects stack additively, similar to interactions related to the weapon-triangle, such as Triangle Adept and the weapon-triangle advantage boost.
- Flat damage-reduction effects cannot be neutralized or reduced by effects such as Share Spoils or Halves non-Special damage reduction.
- For more information, see Damage calculation.
- When equipped with skills such as Beast or Beast Passives, a Beast unit will transform out of combat on turn 1 regardless of whether the transformation conditions of the user's weapon are met.
- Skills such as Beast or Beast Passives will also keep the unit from reverting from their Beast form.
- The Atk+2 granted by Dosing Fang when the user transforms is considered a stat boost, not a 【Bonus】 effect.
- "If unit transforms" refers to out of combat transformations of Beast units. Transformations during combat will not trigger the stat boost and Distant Counter effects.
- However, if the effect(s) apply after combat, the unit must also survive combat to fulfill this condition.
