All right, you two, that’s enough sparring for now. We can’t have you spending all your energy training when there’s other work to be done!		Anna
Zeke	Very well. I haven’t had to be on my guard like that for some time. Thank you for the exercise.
Likewise. I had heard stories of the Sable Knight’s prowess. I am glad there was some truth to them.		Black Knight
Zeke	“Sable Knight”? Wh-who— Are you talking about me? I ought to think “sable” would more aptly describe you, given your armor.
Ah. Perhaps I have made a mistake. Forget I said anything.		Black Knight
Zeke	Now that you mention it, though, that title does seem familiar, like I’ve heard it somewhere before...

The threads of fate spin once again...		Camus
Sirius	The question is, do we let him unravel it on his own, or do we direct his path?


Camus	Fate works in mysterious ways. Zeke is yet another example of how my failings have split its tapestry into dissonant threads. For me, he lies ahead...but you have moved beyond him, have you not?
In my own way, yes. But you need not feel responsible. Our fates span many worlds now. After all, you are still you. The path Zeke walks is his and his alone. Do not feel like you have to follow in his footsteps...or mine either, for that matter.		Sirius
Camus	I take comfort in your wisdom. Your counsel has always been invaluable. I chose to learn things no man should know about his future...but I believe it is for the better.
And I agree. We are of the same mind in that regard, you and I. Though I do suppose that is a given. As someone who has lived life ahead of you, I would be remiss not to educate you.		Sirius
Camus	You said that, after you lost your memory, you recovered it after some time, yes? If that’s the case, how long until Zeke recovers his?
My memory indeed returned with time, but I cannot say his will with any certainly.		Sirius
Camus	Then we face a choice: do we reveal the path ahead, or do we let him find it for himself?
We should not take this decision lightly... We ought to spend some time sparring to clear our heads.		Sirius
Camus	Hah. I was just about to suggest the same thing myself.

Camus	It seems a cleric named Tatiana has been asking around for information about Zeke... They must be important to each other for her to be searching as fervently as she is.
Right you are. You could even say they’re each other’s reason for living.		Sirius
Camus	She must be important to you as well, then. And if that is the case... Then Zeke may be able to break the chains of his past, just as you did.
You know as well as I that actions speak louder than words between warriors like us... Perhaps what he needs is not a memory from his past, but instead a lesson...		Sirius
Camus	Then it seems we’ve some more sparring to do...

Zeke	Hm... Something about you two is familiar somehow, but I can’t put my finger on it... You seem to know more about my past than you’re letting on. Or is it... our past, perhaps?
If your memory does not cooperate, we will draw those memories out of your muscles instead!		Camus
Sirius	We will break you down to build you back up into your true self. See that you are prepared!


Zeke	Hhng... Was that...enough?
Yes. This battle taught me more than words ever could.		Camus
Zeke	That makes two of us. We live and die by the lance, with both honor and pride. I see much of myself in you, and I have no doubt that the feeling is mutual.
Zeke... Do not be weighed down by the past. Live in the here and now. Only by freeing yourself of the past can you live on into the future.		Sirius

Do not waste your time looking back. Put one foot in front of the other and keep moving forward.		Sirius
Camus	What is most precious to you here and now, in this place? Therein lies what you seek. No matter the circumstances, your heart will never lead you astray. Remember that.

Even if my mind refuses to unlock the secrets of my past, my heart is now clear... My path is to wield this lance in the service of the one whom I hold dear. I feel as if a weight has been lifted from my shoulders... From now on, I will not struggle to look into my past. I will keep my eyes up, ever on the horizon.		Zeke
