Description Effective against cavalry foes. Grants Spd+3. At the start of combat, if foe's HP ≥ 75%, grants Atk/Spd+6 during combat. If unit's HP < 100% and unit initiates combat, unit makes a guaranteed follow-up attack before foe can counterattack.

  • When battling a Icon Move Cavalry.png cavalry unit, Attack is multiplied by 1.5.
    • Granis Shield.png Grani's Shield will neutralize the attack increase against cavalry units.
  • The stat increase that can be applied by Dark Spikes T is considered a combat boost.
  • If unit initiates combat means if the user starts a combat on their turn. The unit does not need to deal damage, nor be the first to attack.
    • However, if the effect is applied after combat, the unit must also survive it to fulfill this condition.
  • A foe with skills such as Null Follow Up 3.png Null Follow-Up 3 or a status effect such as  Null Follow-Up will disable Dark Spikes T's guaranteed follow-up attack effect.
  • As a general rule, if a unit is both prevented from making, and guaranteed to make, a follow-up attack, the effects cancel out, and the standard speed check decides instead.
  • If the user can perform a follow-up attack, either by a speed check or a skill such as Brash Assault 3.png Brash Assault 3, the initial attack and follow-up will occur before the foe can perform a counterattack.
  • A foe with a skill such as Vantage 3.png Vantage 3 has priority over the user with Dark Spikes T.
  • Dark Spikes T changes the attack priority, or order of attacks, and therefore can be disabled by skills such as Hardy Bearing 3.png Hardy Bearing 3.
