Notes[ | ]
- Attacks that "calculate damage using the lower of foe's Def or Res" include attacks during combat and area-of-effect Specials.
- Close Ward, Mystic Boost 4, Divine Naga, Naga, Spirit Forest Writ, Splashy Bucket, and Splashy Bucket+ will disable this effect.
- Rare Talent, Aureola, Radiant Aureola, and Light and Dark II will disable this effect during combat, but not against area-of-effect Specials.
- Crusher applies the Mobility increased status effect.
- Any 【Bonus】 on a unit lasts until the start of that unit's next phase. If Mobility increased is acquired during the enemy phase, it will disappear when the next player phase begins.
- Gravity and Stall will negate the effects of Mobility increased.
Upgrades[ | ]
Can be upgraded in the Weapon Refinery. For a list of other such weapons, see list of upgradable weapons.
Notes[ | ]
- "If unit initiates combat" means if the user starts combat during the player phase. The unit does not need to deal damage, nor be the first to attack.
- However, if the effect is applied after combat, the unit must also survive it to fulfill this condition.
- The effect is triggered regardless if Refined Crusher's user performs an attack during combat. If foe engages and user cannot counterattack, Refined Crusher's effect will still trigger.
- Refined Crusher's user needs to survive the combat for the effect to trigger.
- Both Refined Crusher and skills such as Galeforce can activate on the same turn.[1]
- If both Refined Crusher and a skill such as Galeforce can activate after combat, Refined Crusher has higher priority. The user's Special cooldown count is unaffected if Refined Crusher activates.
- The damage-reduction is calculated after offensive Specials and damage boosting effects such as Arcane Lúin and Dominance.
- If a skill such as Miracle or Everliving Domain can trigger, the damage-reduction effect will not trigger and the user will still survive with only 1 HP.
- Percentage-based damage-reduction effects stack multiplicatively, unlike interactions related to the weapon-triangle, such as Triangle Adept and the weapon-triangle advantage boost.
- For example, if both Buffer 4 and Godlike Reflexes activate, the maximum total damage-reduction is 70% instead of 90%, since the two skills reduce the damage to (1 − 50%) × (1 − 40%) = 30% of the original damage.
- For more information, see Damage calculation.

- "If unit initiates combat" means if the user starts combat during the player phase. The unit does not need to deal damage, nor be the first to attack.
- However, if the effect is applied after combat, the unit must also survive it to fulfill this condition.
- The stat decrease that can be applied by Crusher is considered a temporary debuff.
- As a general rule, if a unit is both prevented from making, and guaranteed to make a follow-up attack, the effects cancel out, and the Spd difference decides instead (including effects that alter this difference).
- A foe with effects such as Phys. Null Follow or Null Follow-Up will neutralize the guaranteed follow-up attack granted by Crusher.
- The damage boosting effect of Crusher ignores the foe's Def or Res when calculating the damage boost, and can be reduced by damage reduction effects such as Armored Beacon, Dragon Wall 3, and Dodge.
- A foe equipped with Embla's Ward, Múspellflame, Niðavellir Axiom, or Gold Perfection will neutralize all sources of damage during combat except the minimum 1 damage from Umbra Burst weapons.
- For more information, see Damage calculation.
- The damage boost of Crusher will activate if the foe receives penalties.
- The damage boost will not be negated if the foe receives bonuses.
- If the foe is affected by Panic (and not affected by Null Panic), Crusher will utilize the total penalty within each stat during calculation.[2]
- The damage boost will be negated if the foe has their penalties removed by a source of negative status effect neutralization.
