| Description 【Switch】 | Enables【Canto (Dist.; Max 3)】. Accelerates Special trigger (cooldown count-1). At start of combat, if unit's HP ≥ 25%, grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res+5 to unit, grants Atk/Spd+X to unit (X = 20% of unit's Spd at start of combat), and neutralizes effects that inflict "Special cooldown charge -X" on unit during combat, and also, if unit initiates combat, reduces damage from foe's first attack by 50% during combat, and unit's next attack deals damage = total damage reduced (by any source, including other skills; resets at end of combat). Effect:【Dagger 7】 | Enables【Canto (Dist.; Max 3)】. Effect:【Dagger 7】 【Canto (Dist.; Max 3)】 After an attack, Assist skill, or structure destruction, unit can move spaces = number of spaces from start position to end position unit moved prior to taking action (max 3). (Unit moves according to movement type. Once per turn. Cannot attack or assist. Only highest value applied. Does not stack. After moving, if a skill that grants another action would be triggered (like with Galeforce), Canto will trigger after the granted action. Unit's base movement has no effect on movement granted. Cannot warp (using skills like Wings of Mercy) a distance greater than unit would be able to move with normal Canto movement.) 【Dagger 7】 After combat, if unit attacked, inflicts Def/Res-7 on target and foes within 2 spaces of target through their next actions. |
Notes[]
- If an effect that grants "another action" to unit would trigger, (such as with Galeforce) the extra action will be granted before 【Canto (Dist.; Max 3)】 triggers (excluding effects that grant "another action" after Canto).
- 【Canto (Dist.; Max 3)】 will not trigger after an effect that grants "another action" if it has already been triggered that turn or if the unit does not perform an action.
- 【Canto (Dist.; Max 3)】 triggers after "after combat" movement effects such as Repel 4, Harrowing Call, or Movement Passives.
- If 【Canto (Dist.; Max 3)】 has already been triggered that turn, Canto re-enabling effects can allow 【Canto (Dist.; Max 3)】 to trigger again.
- If an ally has an effect such as Salvage or Summer Chilling, the unit can also warp to the ally after triggering Canto regardless of distance restrictions.
- Canto Control will reduce the amount of movement granted by 【Canto (Dist.; Max 3)】 to 1 space (or 2 spaces with Salvage) for Range = 1 units and 0 spaces (or 1 space with Salvage) for Range = 2 units.
- 【Canto (Dist.; Max 3)】 takes into account the unit's Move Type and the movement restrictions involved with it. For Example, a Cavalry unit cannot use 【Canto (Dist.; Max 3)】 to enter or cross through a forest.
- 【Canto (Dist.; Max 3)】 also takes into account effects that alter a unit's normal movement such as movement preventing effects, Divine Vein effects, Pass effects, Traverse Terrain, and 【Pathfinder】.
- 【Canto (Dist.; Max 3)】 also takes into account warping effects such as Guidance 4 and Air Orders. However, the distance is limited to the maximum amount of spaces allotted by 【Canto (Dist.; Max 3)】.
- The calculation of "spaces from start position to end position" counts the total number of spaces from the initiator's starting position to the end position before combat.
- The calculation includes spaces occupied by an ally with the 【Pathfinder】 effect.
- The start position used in the calculation references the initiator's starting position after being moved by sources of unit movement such as Reposition Gait.
- 【Canto (Dist.; Max 3)】 also takes into account status effects that alter a unit's movement value such as Mobility increased, Gallop, Stall, and Gravity.
- 【Canto (Dist.; Max 3)】 will have the distance value be reduced to 1 if the unit was inflicted with Stall or Gravity and did not warp or move through a space occupied by a unit with 【Pathfinder】.
- The distance value for 【Canto (Dist.; Max 3)】 will not be affected if the unit was inflicted with Stall or Gravity after combat.
- The stat boost that can be applied during combat by Brightwind Fans is considered a temporary buff.
- A stat comparison made "At start of combat" ignores temporary buffs and temporary debuffs.
- Temporary buffs and temporary debuffs from skills such as Death Blow and Rauðrfox+ will not affect the outcome.
- Only stat boosts outside of combat, such as Bonuses and Penalties, will affect the outcome.
- Brightwind Fans will neutralize the "Special cooldown charge -X" effect on unit from effects such as Guard Sword+, Guard, or 【Divine Vein (Vert)】.
- Since the "Special cooldown charge -X" effect will be neutralized on unit, Brightwind Fans will also stack with the "Special cooldown charge +X" effect on unit from effects such as Heavy Blade 4, Special Cooldown Charge +1, or the Grand Conquests Infantry area effect, unless the foe is equipped with skills that neutralize the "Special cooldown charge +X" effect on unit.
- The non-Special "reduces damage by X%" effect is calculated after offensive Specials and damage boosting effects such as Arcane Lúin and Dominance.
- If a skill such as Miracle or Everliving Domain can trigger, the damage-reduction effect will not trigger and the user will still survive with only 1 HP.
- Umbra Burst weapons will always deal a minimum of 1 damage even if the foe is equipped with Invincible Sister, Vengeful God, Invincibility Seals, or damage reduction effects.
- "Reduces damage by X%" effects stack multiplicatively, unlike interactions related to the weapon-triangle, such as Triangle Adept and the weapon-triangle advantage boost.
- Non-Special "reduces damage by X%" effects can be neutralized or reduced only during combat by effects such as Share Spoils+ or Halves non-Special damage reduction.
- For more information, see Damage calculation.
- Effects that neutralize or reduce non-Special "reduces damage by X%" effects will also affect Brightwind Fans's damage boosting effect.
- The damage boosting effect of Brightwind Fans ignores the foe's Def or Res when calculating the damage boost, and can be reduced by damage-reduction effects such as Gust, Atk/Spd Excel, and Dodge.
- Damage boosting effects stack additively, similar to flat damage-reduction effects and interactions related to the weapon-triangle, such as Triangle Adept and the weapon-triangle advantage boost.
- A foe equipped with Invincibility Seals will neutralize all sources of damage except from Røkkr area-of-effect Specials and the minimum 1 damage from Umbra Burst weapons.
- A foe equipped with Invincible Sister will neutralize all sources of damage during combat except for the minimum 1 damage from Umbra Burst weapons only once per Phase after it triggers.
- A foe equipped with Vengeful God will neutralize all sources of damage during combat except for the minimum 1 damage from Umbra Burst weapons only once per Phase after Miracle triggers if that foe's HP ≥ 25% at start of combat.
- For more information, see Damage calculation.
- The damage boosting effect of Brightwind Fans calculates the damage boost based on the total damage-reduction from all damage-reduction effects active on the unit including:
- Damage-reduction from ally skills such as Domain of Ice and Caduceus Staff.
- Damage-reduction from Divine Vein and terrain effects.
- Flat damage-reduction from effects such as Atk/Spd Excel and Shield Fighter.
- "Unit survives with 1 HP" effects such as Miracle and Everliving Domain.
- "Unit survives with 1 HP" effects will affect the calculation of the damage boosting effect = the total damage from the foe's damage (including calculations with specials) -1.
- For example, if a foe triggering Glimmer deals 45 damage, and a skill such as Miracle or Everliving Domain would be triggered by that foe's attack, the damage boost for the unit's next attack would be 44 damage.
If unit attacked
means if the user attacked at any time during combat. They do not need to initiate combat, deal damage, or survive.- This means that if the foe initiates combat and the user cannot counterattack, the effect will not trigger.
- The stat decrease that can be applied by Brightwind Fans is considered a Penalty.
- Any 【Penalty】 effect on a unit lasts until that unit takes an action. If the unit takes multiple actions in a turn, they will only have Penalties for their first action.
- If the unit also has Grand Strategy, any Penalties will remain active until the start of that unit's next phase.
- Any 【Penalty】 effect on a unit lasts until that unit takes an action. If the unit takes multiple actions in a turn, they will only have Penalties for their first action.
