When battling a Flying unit, Attack is multiplied by 1.5.
- Ashera's Chosen, Dragonscale, Dragonskin, Dragoon Shield, Iote's Shield, Bushido II, Gurgurant, Hel's Reaper, Pastel Poleaxe, and the Neutralize Effective Against Flying status effect will neutralize the attack increase against flying units.
If unit initiates combat means if the user starts combat on their turn. The unit does not need to deal damage, nor be the first to attack.
- However, if the effect is applied after combat, the unit must also survive it to fulfill this condition.
The stat increase that can be applied by Bow of Verdane is considered a combat boost.

The "unit's Spd minus foe's Spd" condition is treated as a comparison between the unit's and foe's Spd stats.
- Skills such as Phantom Spd 3 can change which effects are granted by this condition.

As a general rule, if a unit is both prevented from making, and guaranteed to make, a follow-up attack, the effects cancel out, and the standard speed check decides instead.
A foe with skills such as Null Follow-Up 3 or a status effect such as Null Follow-Up will disable Bow of Verdane's guaranteed follow-up attack effect.
If the user can perform a follow-up attack, either by a speed check or skill such as Brash Assault 3, the initial attack and follow-up will occur before the foe can perform a counterattack.
Skills such as Vantage 3 and the Vantage status effect have priority over the Bow of Verdane's priority changing effect.
Bow of Verdane changes the attack priority, or order of attacks, and therefore can be disabled by skills such as Hardy Bearing 3.
