Description	Accelerates Special trigger (cooldown count-1). Unit attacks twice (even if foe initiates combat, unit attacks twice). If unit initiates combat or is within 2 spaces of an ally, grants bonus to unit's Atk/Spd/Def/Res = 15% of unit's Def at start of combat + 5, deals damage = 25% of unit's Def (excluding area-of-effect Specials), reduces damage from foe's attacks by 25% of unit's Def (including from area-of-effect Specials; excluding Røkkr area-of-effect Specials), neutralizes "reduces damage by X%" effects from unit's and foe's non-Special skills (excluding area-of-effect Specials), neutralizes effects that guarantee unit's and foe's follow-up attacks, and increases the Spd difference necessary for unit or foe to make a follow-up attack by 20 during combat (Spd must be ≥ 25 to make a follow-up attack; stacks with similar skills). If unit initiates combat, grants Special cooldown count-1 to unit before unit's first attack during combat.

Bold Kusarigama's extra attack is not a follow-up attack nor a change in attack priority.
- Effects such as Foe Cannot Follow-Up and Hardy Bearing 3 do not affect the extra attack.
- If Bold Kusarigama's user can perform a standard follow-up attack, either by passing the Spd difference check or effects such as Guaranteed Follow-Ups or Quick Riposte 4, the user will be able to attack up to 4 times during combat.
  - Bold Kusarigama's extra attack does not affect the additional follow-up granted by 【Potent Follow X%】 or 【Potent Follow 100%】.
  - A foe with effects such as Phys. Null Follow or Null Follow-Up will neutralize any effect on Bold Kusarigama's user that guarantees follow-up attacks.
"If unit initiates combat" means if the user starts combat during the player phase. The unit does not need to deal damage, nor be the first to attack.
- However, if the effect is applied after combat, the unit must also survive it to fulfill this condition.
The stat increase that can be applied by Bold Kusarigama is considered a temporary buff.
A stat comparison made "At start of combat" ignores temporary buffs and temporary debuffs.
- Temporary buffs and temporary debuffs from skills such as Death Blow and Rauðrfox+ will not affect the outcome.
- Only stat boosts outside of combat, such as Bonuses and Penalties, will affect the outcome.

The damage boosting effect of Bold Kusarigama ignores the foe's Def or Res when calculating the damage boost, and can be reduced by damage-reduction effects such as Gust, Atk/Spd Excel, and Dodge.
- A foe equipped with Embla's Ward, Múspellflame, Niðavellir Axiom, File:Nine-Realm Pact.png Nine-Realm Pact, or Gold Perfection will neutralize all sources of damage during combat except the minimum 1 damage from Umbra Burst weapons.

The damage-reduction effect is calculated after offensive Specials and damage boosting effects such as Arcane Lúin and Dominance.
- If a skill such as Miracle or Everliving Domain can trigger, the damage-reduction effect will not trigger and the user will still survive with only 1 HP.
- "Reduces damage by X%" effects stack multiplicatively, unlike interactions related to the weapon-triangle, such as Triangle Adept and the weapon-triangle advantage boost.
  - For example, if both Dodge and Gust trigger, the maximum total damage-reduction is 64% instead of 80%, since the two skills reduce the damage to (1 − 40%) × (1 − 40%) = 36% of the original damage.
- Special "reduces damage by X%" effects cannot be neutralized or reduced by effects such as Share Spoils or Halves non-Special damage reduction.

Bold Kusarigama will neutralize non-Special "reduces damage by X%" effects from Specials such as Vital Astra.
- Bold Kusarigama will not neutralize Special "reduces damage by X%" effects such as Gust or Laguz Friend 4.

Bold Kusarigama will not neutralize the additional follow-up of 【Potent Follow X%】 or 【Potent Follow 100%】.
Effects that are neutralized by Bold Kusarigama:
- Effects that grant the foe a guaranteed follow-up such as Quick Riposte 4, Guaranteed Follow-Ups, or the Grand Conquests Cavalry area effect.
Bold Kusarigama increases the Spd difference necessary to perform a follow-up attack.
- 【Phantom】 effects such as Spurn 4 or Phantom Spd 3 will not affect the Spd difference increasing effect of Bold Kusarigama.
- All Spd difference increases and/or decreases will stack with each other.
  - For example, if a foe with Def ≥ the unit's Def has Frozen and Clever Fighter, the effects will stack and the the Spd difference necessary for the unit to make a follow-up attack remains the same.
Bold Kusarigama's Special cooldown count reduction that occurs during combat is a flat -1 and is not affected by effects related to Special cooldown charge such as Guard, Special Cooldown Charge +1, and Spd/Def Tempo 4.
- All flat cooldown count increases and/or reductions during combat will stack with each other if they trigger at the same time.
  - For example, if a unit with Special trigger acceleration has Rally Spectrum and Hush Spectrum, the effects will stack and the unit's cooldown count will not increase or decrease.
