Axe of Virility has the same effect as Fury 3.
The effect is triggered regardless of whether Axe of Virility's user performs an attack during combat. If foe initiates combat and user cannot counterattack, Axe of Virility's effect will still trigger.
Axe of Virility's user needs to survive the combat for the effect to trigger.

Axe of Virility inflicts out of combat damage.
- Out of combat damage cannot reduce a unit's HP to 0.
- A foe equipped with Invincibility Seals will neutralize all sources of out of combat damage except from Røkkr area-of-effect Specials.
- A foe equipped with Røkkr or a unit with En Garde will neutralize all sources of out of combat damage except Area-of-effect Specials.
Axe of Virility stacks with out of combat healing from effects such as Essence Drain or Renewal 3.
- For example, if a unit has both Fury and Mystic Boost, Fury 2 + Mystic Boost 1 = -2 HP, Fury 3 + Mystic Boost 3 = 0 HP, and Fury 4 + Mystic Boost 4 = +2 HP.
