Description | Grants Res+3. Calculates damage from staff like other weapons. At start of turn, if any foe's Res < unit's Res and that foe is adjacent to another foe, inflicts Atk/Res-6 and status preventing counterattacks on that foe through its next action. At start of combat, if unit's HP ≥ 25%, grants Atk/Res+6 to unit and deals damage = total penalties on foe during combat. (If the "calculates damage from staff like other weapons" effect is neutralized, damage from staff is calculated after combat damage is added.) |

- Asclepius has the same effect as Wrathful Staff 3.
- Asclepius allows the unit to deal staff damage like other weapons instead of halving damage after defenses are calculated, rounded down.
- A foe with Mystic Boost 4, Splashy Bucket, or Splashy Bucket+ will disable this effect.

- The stat decrease that can be applied by Asclepius is considered a Penalty.
- Any 【Penalty】 on a unit lasts until that unit takes an action. If the unit takes multiple actions in a turn, they will only have Penalties for their first action.

- Counterattacks disrupted can prevent the foe from counterattacking.
- A foe with skills such as Null C-Disrupt 4 or Null C-Disrupt E will be able to counterattack.
- A foe with Mystic Boost 4 will only be able to counterattack against Staff units.
- A foe with Ice-Bound Brand, Ice-Crystal Spear, Nifl's Bite, or Holy Yule Blade will only be able to counterattack against ranged units.
- The stat increase that can be applied by Asclepius is considered a temporary buff.
- The damage boosting effect of Asclepius ignores the foe's Def or Res when calculating the damage boost, and can be reduced by damage-reduction effects such as Gust, Atk/Spd Excel, and Dodge.
- A foe equipped with Embla's Ward, Múspellflame, Niðavellir Axiom, File:Nine-Realm Pact.png Nine-Realm Pact, or Gold Perfection will neutralize all sources of damage during combat except the minimum 1 damage from Umbra Burst weapons.

- The damage boost of Asclepius will activate if the foe receives Penalties.
- The damage boost will not be negated if the foe receives Bonuses.
- If the foe is affected by Panic (and not affected by Null Panic), Asclepius will utilize the total Penalty within each stat during calculation.[1]
- The damage boost will be negated if the foe has their Penalties removed by a source of negative status effect neutralization.
